Q: Does this help firm up stools? Not sure if I have IBS but I have loose stools more often than not. Not diarrhea but loose. I’m looking for something to firm up stool. And not necessarily go more often.
A: Great question, Jaxon. The psyllium fiber in Metamucil is indicated for relief of occasional constipation and to help promote and maintain regularity. With that said, we don't recommend using Metamucil Orange Smooth Powder for loose stools. We hope this helps!

Q: The image of the front of the container says 114 TSP (TEAspoons) but the image of the back, says it contains 114 servings of one TBSP (TABLEspoon). What is the true serving size?
A: We have many varieties of Metamucil, some are taken in teaspoon doses and some are taken in tablespoon doses. To explain this a bit further, the Metamucil Sugar free powder varieties do have dosages in Teaspoons. But, the Metamucil Powder with Real Sugar have dosages in Tablespoons. The reasoning is that the Sugared varieties have a bit more composition with the added sugar, so a bit more is needed to get the same Fiber intake. It looks like you're using our Smooth Orange with Sugar, so that should be Tablespoons. If you'd like to share more or have any more questions feel free to call us at (800) 983-4237.

Q: If Metamucil contains psyllium, why is there a picture of wheat crop above? I am sure that some customers, self included, are looking for wheat-free products for medical reasons. It doesn't contain anything wheat derived, right?
A: Hey Patty! What you're seeing is a photo of psyllium husk, which is the fiber used in our Metamucil Orange Smooth Powder. Our Metamucil Orange Smooth Powder also does not contain any wheat products, you can view all the ingredients of any of our Metamucil powders on Smart Label's website or feel free to give us a call at (800) 983-4237 if we can help with anything else.
