Q: Does this leave any sort of residue on the floors? I discontinued use of the swiffer wet products because of the build up it was leaving behind :/

Q: This product ruined the shine on my beautiful 1940's wood floor. We tried it on a small section. It loooked fine but not when it dried...Has anyone else experienced this?

Q: Can you use this product with a steam mop?

A: our products were not tested for use in third party devices. so your best bet is to reach out to the manufacturer of your steam mop to see what they recommend .
submitted bymethod - 6 years agoBrand expertA: I use the tile version with my steam mop, but I squirt it directly on the floor and then run the steam mop over it. I don't put it inside the mop. It works great and my floors feel very clean without any kind of sticky residue.

A: I never have any build up. I use it twice a week for six months before I use a deep cleaner on my wood floor.

Q: How is this product different then Bona hardwood floor non rinse cleaner? I have pine floors that are nailed, stained and sealed with a semi gloss finish. Need to ensure shine stays the same after use of product.

Method’s Squirt + Mop Hardwood Floor Cleaner in the scent Almond has been a staple in my cleaning routine for years! I initially got it to polish my hardwood floors but came to quickly love the product so much I also use it to polish my wood furniture, including my kitchen cabinets. It makes my home feel cozy and inviting with the subtle scent of almond. Totally a multitasker favorite!

Good gleaner. I don’t mind the scent, but it does leave a residue. The residue isn’t visible on wood floors, but if you spot clean something afterwards with a white paper towel, you’ll see the exact color of the cleaner coming up. After using layers and layers of the cleaner over time, the color becomes even more evident. Wish they didn’t dye it!

I have used this product for about 6 months on old, ash, parquet flooring. Our floors are about 40 years old and whatever was used as a sealant / top coat on the wood is in very poor condition. Method Almond is gentle on my old floors, yet effective. I love the smell. It doesn't have that strong, nose twisting scent that so many other cleaners have. Although the scent is faint after drying, my home smells clean and fresh. I also love that there is a refill available and it is very, very easy to refill this squirt bottle. Two thumbs up from me!

I bought today very excited to try out as product was recommended by a friend. While the product smells great, unfortunately it left spot on my floor where I squirted it on. In reading other reviews, I see others have experienced this issue as well. Can you tell me how to get rid of the spots?

If you're in a pinch and haven't got time to mop your floor properly or have a little spill this cleaner is fantastic. Just squirt a bit on the floor and mop around. After my whole house smells of almond and looks like it's been fully mopped. It's great.

Should have expected for a no rinse method, but did not clean our floors at all. I used a Bona microfiber and followed directions. Looked and smelled nice afterwards, but just shifted dirt around. The microfiber pad didn’t even look very dirty afterwards. My feet went from a little dusty at the end of the day “I should mop later this week”, to looking like I walked through a dirty wet kitchen floor after walking barefoot 2-3 hours in the house first thing in the morning everyday after using this until I used something else to properly clean my floors. This may work for very small spaces (1-2 medium sized rooms), but not for large areas.

Before using this I disinfected the floor which left it looking pretty dry and dull, I used this which brought it back to life! It also smells so amazing and it's not too overpowering either, there's no residue after either which is important because I have young children running around the house so I know they won't be slipping on the floor, it also dried pretty quickly even after drying the floor still looks "moisturized"
