A: Thank you for your interest in the Mia Floating Medallion Patio Rug. This rug is truly an indoor/outdoor rug that is both fade and water resistant. We do recommend the use of an outdoor rug pad if used outside. This type of rug pad will lift the backing fibers of the rug off of your deck/patio allowing air flow under the rug thus aiding drying time. Thanks again, Captiv8e Team
