They required this in order to "increase child restraint effectiveness and child safety". Here at Mighty Paw we believe if there is a safer option for our children, then our pets deserve it too! With the easy-to-use latch hook, the Safety Belt can be directly connected to the frame of the vehicle for better security. Convenience: The Mighty Paw Safety Belt can stay attached to your vehicle's latch bar at all times. It is sleek in nature, fitting right in amongst the human seat belts, No more time and energy spent hooking and unhooking your pets seat belt. It is convenient and ready to use when your four-legged friend is a passenger. The carabiner is made of extra strong, yet lightweight, Aviation Aluminum with a Max Force Tension of 400 kg! (Product updated 8/15/2016). Tangle-Free Comfort: The seat belt can be easily adjusted from 16 to 26 inches allowing you to choose the most comfortable length for your dog. We've also included a unique swivel free attachment so your dog can rotate and move around without ever getting tangled. Durability: The Safety Belt is made with thick, high quality nylon that will hold up for years. Other dog seat belts use pieces that are frail and weaken over time which compromises the safety of our four-legged friends. Our Safety Belt uses all-metal, durable hardware.

Had to reorder another to replace the lost one. I absolutely love these. They are the best! Hooks into the seatbelt and keeps your dog strapped in and keeps your alarms from going off as well.

My dog would step on the release button, so we gave the headrest a try and it’s working excellently! The seat belt definitely keeps my dog on the seat and still allows him to be comfortable.

I have 5 human children so there are no extra seat belt buckles in my van. This comfortably goes on a headrest while the dog is safely strapped in and between to kids. He loves it and they do. I love that he’s not up running around the van. He’s very small, 5.6lbs, he’s about 3.5 months and it works great for him on the smallest settings. It does also get fairly large as well for a larger dog. Very happy with it.

It's hard to find a good seatbelt for my dogs, their big dogs, and they like to lay down or to be able to look out both windows. This goes long enough that it provides those opportunities for my dogs, while keeping them safe. And since my larger male dog can shake a regular clasp off of his collar, the clasp on this particular seatbelt works marvelously.
