We bought this for my grandson’s birthday. How disappointing to find that after we installed the batteries, the remote only worked for the exploding function-wouldn’t go forward or backwards. Also, it seemed not well constructed for the price. We returned it to the store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Minecraft RC Creeper is a must for Minecraft fans or anyone really, definitely a blast of fun! It's large and pretty quick, even on carpet. It has an easy to use controller that looks like a little TNT which my son loved. When it zooms across the floor it's legs move which give it the appearance it's actually running instead of rolling. Half the controller controls the forward/backward motion, the other half operates the sounds, lights and main explosion! If you hold the button down the head pops off while an explosion sounds and the light goes from a bright blue to color changing. If you only press the button without holding it down it still sounds but without the heading popping off. It comes with 10 smoke cutouts that will rain out when the head explodes off. It can be played with or without the smoke cutouts, also drives with or without it's body all put together. When it "explodes" apart it is very easy for smaller hands to reassemble without any help. It definitely kept my youngest sons attention, and his teenage siblings enjoyed playing with it too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have a child who is obsessed with Minecraft, you absolutely have to get the MINECRAFT Exploding RC Creeper! This remote-controlled Creeper is ready for play as soon as you insert some AA batteries. My eight-year-old LOVES this toy! It works best on hardwood floors. The remote control allows you to move the Creeper in any direction, and it features lights and sound effects that enhance the experience. Inside the Creeper, there are 10 explosion particles that launch into the air when it "explodes." My son enjoys chasing us with this Creeper and waiting for the perfect moment to make it explode, which often catches us off guard and gives us a good scare! He figured out how to use it very quickly. The toy seems to be well-made and is easy to put back together after it explodes. Overall, it's a fantastic toy that brings a lot of joy and excitement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a big Minecraft fan in this house and he loves this toy! My boys love to challenge each other with all the remote control items in the house! My youngest has commandeered the head and hidden it somewhere. That’s the only downside to this item it is easy to misplace if you have littles in your house. It has really sturdy wheels and gets around well on carpet and laminate or tile! The sound effects are a lot of fun as well. I would definitely recommend this toy if your kiddos enjoy Minecraft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old son saw this and in his words "just had to have it." The exploding part is what really got his attention. The things that "explode" out of the head are just little thin cardboard pieces. It is easy for my son to put the pieces in and put the head back on.

Doesn’t open. Makes all the sounds, and the wheels move, but it doesn’t move forward or backward etc. the main thing is, it doesn’t open and explode. The latch is too long and the prompt to push it isn’t long enough.

Bought two and they both don’t move forward or backward. Seems like a common issue with this toy.

This is the biggest waste of money by far from our Christmas purchases. First we had to travel to 4 different stores to purchase this item because it was a must that our son wanted on his list. Secondly, it was very pricey for the size(and not worth the price). Thirdly on Christmas morning when our son opened the box and saw this toy he was so excited. We put the batteries in and read the instructions. Once he actually got the remote and he saw that the only thing it did was move back and forth slowly and when you push the explode button and the little paper pieces barely pop out, he was so disappointed and so were we. Prime example of how the toy companies, market toys to be something so exciting and you buy it and it sucks. Overpriced disappointment period

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Minecraft lovers will love this toy. the remote is even on theme. the right side controls the creeper and the left side button will make it explode. the particles that fly out are cardboard, I do wish they were some type of thin plastic or something else so they can last. it's also a little loud when rolling around. however, this is a fun toy and the kids love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8-year-old son is a huge fan of Minecraft and was super excited to get this! He especially loved the explosion function and the hissing sound effect that precedes it, though I personally found the hissing to be a bit loud and grating. The toy also quickly became difficult to close after exploding, and would stop exploding without a physical nudge to accompany the button press. I’m not sure if that is from wear and tear, but we had only used it for a few minutes before it became a consistent problem. Our son also didn’t care much for the controls, which only go straight forward or backwards at an angle to “turn”, though he warmed up to them. Lastly, the creeper did have trouble navigating bumps, so be sure to use it on smooth surfaces!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son actually asked for this toy for Christmas so I was very pleased when it was an option for my test item. This item is very sturdy and well made. The remote control is small and easy to use for kids with small hands. The creeper comes with "particles" that come out of the head of the creeper when it explodes. The "particles" are just small pieces of paper that needs to be loaded into the head. My 6 year old son was able to load these "particles" with no difficulty after being shown once or twice. The creeper does well on carpet or uncarpeted surfaces.
Tons of fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids *loved* this toy so much! I got it for my son, who's a Minecraft fan. He loved that you could make the Creeper explode and he did it over and over and over again. It was a really fun feature! The lights and sounds added more to that fun and my son enjoyed "scaring" his siblings by making the Creeper hiss at them. The controller was really easy to use and figure out and has held up to repeated drops. The Creeper itself was really easy to put together and my son had no issues putting it together itself. The little smoke squares that fly out of the Creeper when it explodes were a really fun additional element. My only very minor complaint is that it would be even better if the squares were made out of a more durable material. Some of ours got damaged pretty quickly. Overall, this Exploding RC Creeper was so much fun for my son and even his siblings and parents! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a simple and easy to use toy, that my Minecraft loving boy adores. It is good quality, easy to set up and easy to use. The exploding pieces are little pieces of paper that I wish were more toy friendly rather than just paper but is very cute and practical. This holds my son’s interest all afternoon.

The toy works great and performs as it should. My 8yr old loves it. I’ve been searching for it since before Christmas. I just refused to pay scalper prices. Saw it here so I jumped on it. Only complaint is the screw that hold holds the battery plate on strips without any force.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Minecraft Exploding Creeper is fun but does not hold the interest of my 9 year old son for very long. The anticipation of the toy itself was much higher than the excitement after 10 minutes of playtime. The interaction is very realistic, especially for children who have played "survival" mode in the Minecraft game. It has the added fun of having "gun powder" inside when it explodes, which is once again realistic to the game and a "crafting" item. Assembly is quick and straightforward and reassembling after the creeper "explodes" is also very simple. One downfall is that the creeper is very loud when moving around, so there is no "creeping". The remote has forward and then a backwards-turn. The creepers legs move realistically when you move it and it is very fast, which is fun to play with. You can choose to begin the explosion and stop by releasing your hold on the button. If you continue pressing it, it will "explode" and the "gunpowder" cardboard pieces fall out, as the head "pops" off. The remote is also in the design of the blocks you would use in Minecraft, which is a fun added detail. All in all this is a fun toy, it just doesn't hold the attention of my 9 year old boy for very long.
