Awful to install. Wiring was bad out of the box

I like the light. It's up and in use, but the install was awful. The non working electrical fault was in the last place you'd think to look, at the base where the main wire connects to the wires of the 4 bulbs. If you get one, test it on your bench first. DO NOT hang it and assume it will work, as I did. The wiring in the base was an amateur's job with wire nuts, black tape, and short wires that had pulled apart. I mean whoever did this should be arrested! Fortunately, no dead short. I'm part electrician, so the rewire was easier than boxing it up and sending it back.
