Q: Will target assemble the bike
submitted by Cheryl Goodwin - 8 years ago
A: Thank you for reaching out to us. The bikes comes semi-assembled however; you can ask your target store if they would assemble it for you. We make it so our bikes are simple to assemble at home.

Q: would this be suitable for a 5' 4" 115 pound 50 year old lady? (instead of a 'trike')

Great trike but assembly instructions could be better

This trike is beautiful and well constructed. It is comfortable to ride and operation is intuitive so a child quickly becomes proficient. My only problem is with the assembly instructions, which could be better. While using nuts and bolts to assemble the various parts the instructions provide no guidance on where and when to use the washers. In addition, the instructions skip one step of assembly entirely. It does not direct you to install the cushioned seat back. However, that part is easy to install and it becomes obvious that the instructions have missed that step.
Love this tricke option!

I bought this for my eight year old son who has high functioning autism and hydrocephalus, he is having trouble learning to balance on a two wheeler. He says the bike is comfortable and loves riding it! It was really easy to assemble! The seat position is adjustable, so it can grow with him. There is a hand break for the front wheel. There are no gears and it has no bicycle chain, but it's almost impossible to find a trike for this size of child that has gears. The wheels are fairly small and I had a little trouble getting a regular bicycle pump on to inflate the tires because of that. The turning radius is fairly wide, so no tight turns. AS far as taking the bike with you somewhere, it's a little heavy and I would have to lift it into the back of our Subrban, so I think riding around the neighborhood is most likely what we will use it for. It really seems to be a great bike for the money!
Should have skipped it....

Fun but difficult to find a suitable place to ride. Good only for hard, flat services and turning radius eliminates most sidewalks. I would pass unless you frequent a lot of empty parking lots.
My son loves it

My daughter is hemi-plegic and struggles with balance. Riding a regular bicycle was frustrating for her. Withing an hour she was riding the mobo all around the yard and local track. It is a very cool bike. All the kids at our Christmas Day party wanted to give it a try. It was very easy to adjust the length for each child.
Best bike to buy!

I needed a bike that was easy to maneuver and didn't require much balance, and this bike is everything I could ask for! It's very affordable, and it's fun! You'll get a lot of compliments riding this bike, I guarantee it! Definitely a must buy.
Mobo Triton Rocks!

My 13 year old daughter has Williams-Syndrome and can't overcome her fear of balancing a two wheeled bike. She needed something cool looking and age appropriate. I found the Mobo line of 3 wheeled bikes, found a fitting model and ordered it. It assembled with ease and is very sturdy! My daughter LOVES riding it every day. She is getting the exercise she needs. The entire family can finally ride together! Everyone she passes compliments her bike. You can cruise because it free wheels like a regular bike but you can't use the peddles to move yourself backwards. The rear wheels steer the bike, it just doesn't make very tight turns but it's certainly adequate. I recommend this bike for any kid! A big thumbs up from my daughter!

I ordered this day one and got it UPS day 3. Assembled it with ease in a little over an hour. I am 86 and have used this trike every day since I got it travelling several miles for my daily exercise and it is the greatest thing since bikes were created. Can't say enough good about the whole experience -- [...]
Not an easy ride

I was excited by this bike because it provides low impact for my knees and it looked fun. Wow, this bike takes a triathlon athlete to ride it...not your average consumer. I'm a 60-year old grandma and thought the trike would help with my depleting concept of balance, but it's not worth it. Your quads have to be top of the line in shape or you won't make it 500 feet before you get tired. My 28 year old athletic daughter thought I was whining and took it for a ride and she even got tired. This one is heading back to Target.

My 9 year old son is autisic. Some thing he struggles with is balance and fear of falling. So he nver learned to ride a bike without training wheels. The problem is that he is over five foot and weighs in at 150. Training wheels did not work. I was not to sure about the normal "old people" three wheel bike. He has a hard enough time fitting in. I found this bike on accident and it was a godsend. I can't keep him off of it. He thinks it is AWESOME. The kids in the neighborhood think the same and all want to ride it. He can keep up with the two-wheel bikes without a problem. It sits low to the ground so it won't tip easy. (Can tip though). It seems well built and was pretty easy to assemble. Worth every sent.

My son is 10 and has never been able to ride a bike. He has CP... so for him to gain independence it was well worth it. Very well built bike. His brother and cousins all want to ride this bike.

My son is developmentally delayed. Balance on a traditional 2 wheeled bike has always been an issue and training wheels are not effective once you no longer ride a smaller bike. We found this one and it is PERFECT! He rides all over the yard chasing his brothers on their bikes. He finally feels like he can do what they can. WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL BIKE!!!

I bought this bike for my 5 yr old granddaughter and she loves it! We saw it at the fair over the summer. Once she was on it she could manuver it well and her face really lit up. I saw that same look on her face at Christmas. Now she can't wait to get her homework done so she can go ride her bike. I bought her a 2 wheeled bike with training wheels and that lasted a hour and then she gave it up. Now shes getting excersize and loving it. Grandma loves the fact the bike can grow with her.

This Triton bike has been a Godsend. My son with autism has for years been too afraid to ride a regular bike with training wheels. He adapted quickly to this three wheeler and loves it. It was a huge hit at his birthday, and all the other boys stood in line to ride it.
Great bike for kids!

We just got this bike, and our 6 year old daughter with cp learned to pedal within 1 hour! It is so comfortable, safe, and sturdy! So loves it and has been on it non-stop. I worried about the different steering system, but she picked up on it in no time. It definitely is an eye-catcher, in a good sense! All the kids in the neighborhood tell her "cool bike." Only downside is that it makes very wide turns, but it is easy to control.
Excellent Bike!!

We ordered this bike for our 12 year old son who has never been able to ride a traditional bicycle. He absolutely loves it!! He has no problem pedalling or controlling bike. He has noticed that he cannot go fast when he turns or he feels like he is going to fall off. We received the bike two days ago and he rides it whenever he gets a chance!!

Bought this bike for my 10 yr old who has mild CP. He rides it EVERYDAY and loves it. I just have 2 issues with the bike: 1) NEEDS GEARS!!!-not fast enough to ride any distance-only around the neighborhood, short distances.2)bought this bike 2/23/09 and today 4/11/09 my husband is bringing both rear tires to our local bike shop to replace the tires. They have completely worn out down to the thread!!!!The front tire is fine,no show of wear. That is not acceptable for a brand new bike-disapppointed w/this.!!
Great for kids with physical disabilities!

Friend of a very happy child - 16 years ago
This awesome looking trike was the only bike under thousands of dollars for a 6-year-old friend with cerebral palsy. It is low to the ground and well balanced so she can't fall. The back support is excellent and the bike can be steered with either hand or both hands. She keeps up with her siblings now and loves riding it. It is well designed and well made. It is very adjustable and can fit an adult up to about 5'4".
