About this item

Highlights

  • NEW 2.0 FEATURES: Upgrades include a larger extendable canopy for additional shade coverage and an updated harness design for easier strap adjustment (no more manual re-threading!). Compatible with all Single-to-Double Stroller models.
  • CONVERT FROM SINGLE TO DOUBLE: Pair with your Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller to expand from one to two seats. The 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 includes upper and lower adapters (needed to create two-seat capacity), and an updated seat that matches the Mockingbird Single-to-Double 2.0 stroller seat.
  • MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY: Reversible, reclinable seats and 22+ seating configurations allow you to mix and match, with plenty of options to choose the most comfortable position for your kiddos. The top and bottom seat are the same, and with an impressive weight capacity of 45 lbs in each seat, you’ll be able use your stroller for longer. You can even add on the Riding Board accessory to make room for 3!
  • LARGER UPF 50+ CANOPY: The UPF 50+ canopy has an extendable back panel to help with shade, and a mesh section for breezy airflow. Now we’ve added a pop-out visor for even more shade right at your fingertips. The canopy also includes a magnetic peekaboo window for quiet check-ins, and an interior black and white pattern to promote early visual development.
  • UPDATED 5-POINT HARNESS: Our new harness design lets you auto-adjust the shoulder straps to your child’s height with one easy pull (no more manual re-threading into different seat height slots!), making strap adjusting even more quick and seamless.
  • INFANT-COMPATIBLE: To expand to double mode with an infant, use the included 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 upper and lower adapters with one of our infant-accessories (sold separately): a cozy lie-flat Bassinet, space-saving Infant Seat Insert, or Car Seat Adapter that can pair with over 40 different modes from the leading infant car seat brands.

Description

The Mockingbird 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 allows you to expand your stroller as your family grows, and now includes an upgraded seat and canopy for an even easier and smoother ride. After adding on the 2nd Seat Kit’s adapters and seat (which only takes about 30 seconds), mix and match between over 22+ seating configurations to find the best positions for you and your children. And with an impressive weight capacity of 45 lbs in each seat, you’ll be able to use your two-seat setups for years to come. You can even add on the Riding Board accessory to make room for three! Also, the setup couldn't be easier — snapping on the Kit's adapters and 2nd seat takes less than 30 seconds.

The 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 comes with Upper Adapters and Lower Adapters (both are needed to create two-seat set up), Seat (that matches the Mockingbird Single-to-Double 2.0 Stroller seat), and updated Extendable Canopy. For infant compatibility, you'll want to pair your 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 with a Bassinet, Infant Seat Insert, and/or Car Seat Adapter (and for twins, we recommend using the 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 with two Infant Seat Inserts or two identical car seats). The 2nd Seat Kit 2.0 is compatible with all Mockingbird Single-to-Double models.

I love our stroller! We've had it since my daughter was born almost 4 years ago and recently purchased the 2nd seat kit for my son. It is wonderful having so many options but two things we've been slightly annoyed about was 1. The the bassinet attachment and regular seat in the front is tight! The seat in front can't recline at all if it's facing forward. And 2. It's very heavy. Heavier than I realized but I guess that's a 2 kid problem? Haha we love it either way and look forward to buying the little ride on board soon!

    Front heavy

I have a 2+ year old and a 1 month old so having a double stroller is crucial. I love all the options with a mockingbird, but it’s not quite perfect. With the carriage the front seat fits very tight in the most upright position and it’s hard to put it all together. With the front seat it also makes the stroller very front heavy and I’ve almost tipped the stroller forwards a few times which is a little scary with a newborn in the carriage and not strapped in. I haven’t tried the other configurations yet, but I will when the weather warms up. I don’t usually put my stroller in the car but I’d imagine it has its challenges and takes up a lot of space in a mid size suv. I still refer this stroller to friends :)

Best thing for my crew of 3. I have the infant adapter, second seat and the riding board. Big fan. Everyone fits good and the seat position in the front works great!

The second seat is just as great as the first, however the stroller is much harder to push and turn with the addition of the second seat.

The 2nd seat with the new design has a more rounded buckle. It is very difficult to snap into place and ended up breaking only after two uses… very disappointed in the new model and do not recommend

I highly recommend everything about the Mockingbird stroller! Favorite stroller, and we own a few for different purposes. The 2nd seat is so easy to attach, and I regularly take it on and off, depending on if I have one of my other kids with my infant. The buttons are easy to press, the attachments are easy to attach to the base, and the seat is fairly compact (for being a double stroller).

We love our mockingbird stroller. It’s easy to put together and comfy for the kids. I think my only note of improvement is it becomes a little harder to steer with the second seat attached.

Great addition to our mockingbird. It is a little heavy to steer and especially compared to the single when we have our 3 yr old in the front, but I love it’s not side by side

We love the mockingbird stroller and got with our first child knowing we planned to have a second child. We now have a 2yo and a 2mo old who can comfortably sit in this stroller. The only downside is that the bottom seat has to tilt back slightly to allow the top seat to recline into the “flat” position as we use the converter kit to make it like a bassinet. Both seats make it feel incredibly long (I call it my Cadillac) and given I’m short (5’3), I can’t see the end of the stroller so I tend to bump into things more. It does make the stroller heavy and more difficult to steer with one hand. With two seats and the stroller, it makes for a pretty full trunk, so I would take that into consideration if you have a smaller car.

Adding the second seat was perfectly timed just before my second grandbaby was born. It assembled smoothly and took all guesswork out of what to get for mommy and daddy this time around. Big brother pushes it with ease.

Effectively doesn’t fit with the bassinet

We bought the 2nd seat kit when our daughter was born, and thought it would fit better with the bassinet we already owned. Unfortunately, the bassinet pushed too far forward—especially with the accessory pouch hanging off the handle in front—and either pushes on the back of the headrest of the big-kid seat in front, preventing any use of the reclining clip(not great if our big kid falls asleep in his seat), or that seat has to be laid completely horizontal to fit underneath the bassinet(although we haven’t even tried this because it seems too odd..?). It works better with the other seat it came with of the same type as the regular seat, so in that case, it did turn the stroller into a double. Just wish it fit with the bassinet better. It also fits the car seat adapter better than the bassinet, but not as well as the regular seat.

    Not what I expected

For starters, it was the easiest thing I’ve put together. It also has updated cover with the extra length (my original did not). What I wasn’t expecting was the added weight with the newborn + toddler. Having a toddler in the front makes it hard to steer. Also, you can fully lean the infant seat back on top if you have a child in the lower seat. This was extremely frustrating. The added seat means raising the original which now causes issues with my hanging accessories bag. It’s also a bother to get in because of the stroller bar being in the way. I can’t say for sure I’d order again as I’m debating selling and getting a side-by-side. It’s just too much to travel with as well.

We have a 16 month old and a one month old, and being able to convert the stroller into a double is exactly why we bought this stroller. It works great, whether we are at the store, the zoo, or on a family walk. Highly recommend.
