Wanted a cat tower that looked more like a piece of furniture than the typical plush tower. Also, needed a tower that could accomodate my large male (14 lb). This is exactly what I was looking for. The top platform is large enough for him to curl up comfortably. The tall scratching post allows him to stretch out. The two mats are securely attached with velcro on the shelves. It does wobble slightly when he rambunctiously jumps on the tower. So he avoided the top platform for a day or two, but it is now his favorite indoor spot. All the pieces were labeled well. A screwdriver was even included in the hardware, so no other tools were needed for assembly. Directions were clear.
