Q: I ordered two of these online and picked them up in store. Unrolled one and it smelled awful, and it's not just because of the recycled rubber. How do you get rid of the bad smell?

The smell you are likely experiencing is the rug 'off gassing' after being wrapped and stored in plastic for a period of time. The smell is not harmful and will dissipate on its own in a few days. Q: Is this flammable? Have entry door with electric wall register to right, 6 in up. Mat would sit under doorway and extend a couple feet under heat register which runs all winter. Safe?

While the Gateway Utility Doormat has been tested for flammability and exceeds all requirements, we cannot make a guarantee whether this item would be safe if exposed to an electric register for an extended period of time. Our testing hasn’t been performed in such a manner to say with certainty if this is safe.

Q: This is water proof for 2 dogs water bowls & food.
A: Hello, Thank you for reaching out! This mat is water resistant, however if it gets wet to clean simply shake off dirt, occasionally rinse with a garden hose and air dry.
