Moleskine Notebook Classic Large Hardcover

This bullet journal has very thin pages that any type of pen shows through. It feels cheaply made for a fairly expensive journal.

I have been purchasing these notebooks to use as journals for the last seven years. They've always been completely blank inside, except for a small M and block logo in the front cover. The elegance of the classic Moleskine is that it was completely free of any writing, a blank canvas. Now, there is a quite unnecessary manifesto in the front page and even more unnecessary note about the company's foundation, plus four QR codes. Previously these were blank pages. This is very disappointing, and I unfortunately have to change journal brands, as I find this to be too distracting. Feels cheap. Unfortunate design decision.

The pages are super thin which causes ink to bleed through. This notebook is not the same quality as previous Moleskine notebooks. Stay away and purchase a better notebook for the money.

Pages are too thin. Feels like O can’t even write on the back of a page because the past writing shows through. Even with a pencil…

I’m a sucker for a Moleskin notebook. These are pricey, but I’ll spurge for a long-lasting, high-quality notebook. I travel a lot and the hard cover is durable. These are my favorite!

Love my moleskins. The only book for me!

I wanted a nice journal that I could enjoy for a long time. This journal is beautiful and functional. I love the color especially. I will say that the price is high considering that it’s just a journal, but I know the brand is reputable. I’m sure you could find similar for less money, but I’m happy with my purchase.

I have used Moleskine pocket notebook before and it was such a nice writing experience. The lilac cover is nice but that does not compensate for the fact that the ink from gel pens bleeds substantially, same goes with highlighter. I don't use ballpoint pen but I'd think this type of paper would work with ballpoint pens, but defintely not gel pens which I prefer due to the color options and the smooth writing experience. I would return this notebook if I could.

I've been journaling for most of my adult life, about 40 years as it helps me pay attention in church, record life events, and review/remember my studies. After I discovered moleskins 14 years ago, I haven't used any other variety. Because I use 2-3 a year, my shelf of completed journals is a veritable rainbow. I also send a new one to each of my 8 grandchildren (currently 14-18) a new moleskin journal each January ( beginning at age 8.) what's a new year without a new journal.

Ghosting happens! I enjoy the quality of the book but disappointed that there is some ghosting. Wouldn’t recommend for bullet journaling or for art purposes, unless you tape pages together (you can see it on the “march” page). If you’re ok with doubling up on pages, then it makes for a great journal!

These notebooks are great for work

The pages were very thin and my utensils bleed through. It should advertise the GSM. Not worth $20 at ALL

This journal is such a beautiful color. I love it so much! The ruling of it is similar to a college ruled which is perfect. If you like a narrow ruling, you’ll love this. If you prefer wider ruling, this is not for you! The pages are on the thin side, so if you write very heavy handed, you may not be able to write on the backs of pages. I use Pentel slicci 0.25 pens to journal in this moleskine and they work perfect and I’m able to write on the front and back of the pages with no issue! I don’t think a felt tip pen would be a good choice though. I’m so happy about this journal!

The pages are so thin and you can see ink from the other side. I have purchased numerous Moleskine journals over the years and the thickness of the pages have drastically changed. Do not buy unless you want to write in pencil.

perfect journal! i bought this a few years ago to start journaling for myself and fell in love with it. recently bought another one for making a journal for my boyfriend and it’s so classy and nicely put together. i wish it was a little less expensive but it’s worth it in the end.
