A lot of value for the money. It does it"s job (90 watts ACD). I use it mainly for Atmos speakers.
Great sound!

I bought this amp to power my 7.1 setup as I was looking to upgrade from my Yamaha htr-6080 and go with a separate power amp and processor. When I hooked it up to the pre outs on my receiver my speakers came alive, I can now hear much more than I could with just the receiver, nice clean sound. I am getting much more from the surround speakers than I previously did with just the Yamaha receiver. I thought originally that I would loose some volume output from this amp being that it is only 90 watts and my receiver is 120 watts but it is not the case, this amp is still plenty loud.
I would of kept my amp, but... (M7100X) - 7 Channel AMP ' buzz ' ..

Bottom line *(MY) M7100X - 7 Channel AMP had an issue I was not able to just ignore. I bought it Tried it out but it had an issue with buzz sound coming from the tweeters and woofer of my speakers. -- Please read below for more info. MONOPRICE was able to help me with Returning the M7100X. - Thank you Monoprice. Additional Info / Notes: - This might apply to only My Unit, or the M7100X 7 Channel model itself. I tested mine multiple ways to try to figure out the cause of the buzz, I ended up connecting just the AMP + Power cord, 1 speaker, + speaker wire in my last test. (no preamp or anything to troubleshoot) . - in my final test, it was odd but I Could hear that the buzz sound in this test, the buzz sound varied depending on which speaker connection I was using. . - The furthest away from the Power Connection had the least amount of buzz, while speaker connections closer to the power connection section had the most buzz. Again let me say this might of just been with mine. I'm not saying all the M7100X / 7 Channel amps are like this. Other notes: - It was easy to tell the buzz in certain speakers over others, like my Encore B5's as surrounds I Could hear it easily, compared to my JBL 530's. Depending on the speaker / tweeter type it was 'put out' / amount of buzz differently. Another side note: . - I've since upgraded to a no-compromise dedicated / separate amplifier, other brand and more costly. . - The M7100X has the 3rd Ground Pin in the power connection; I Know the pics don't show it(Currently..) but check the manual(there's a link on the M7100X Page near the bottom) - it does have it. . - Since I got my other no-compromise amp, it does NOT have the ground pin on the power connection, -- this lead me to questioning; " Well, why do some high end amps have the ground pin and some do not " - apparently from what I know/learned -- not having the ground pin can I Think lessen/cancel the chance of there being audible issues in the link / setup / connection or power, - -- I also googled: "why do some high end amps have the ground pin and some don't? " . -- Answer : "The amps without ground are specially made in a safe way called double insulated. Their purpose is so that you don't have ground loops in the sound. You are fine connecting the amp case to mains ground (earth) but you may find you get ground loops if you connect other equipment that is also grounded. " Now, that info talks about ground loop, but I really don't think it was a ground loop, based off my test with the different speaker terminals wouldn't the ground loop be all the same..? I Don't know.. Either way, I had the M7100X(only) connected directly to it's own outlet as well in the test. With the buzz sound, I Decided to NOT keep my M7100X. I used the RCA connections. The XLR's are unbalanced, minor issue for those wanting Balanced XLR.. .. but Check the Q/A section for the M7100X (page) for questions and answers related to this. Positive stuff : . (1).. The actual Sound of the amp and the Power is good/great. If it did not have the Buzz sound I would still have it today likely. (2).. The amp is Not super heavy, my new amp is a lot heavier ( 'back Breaker' like ) (3).. Great price, look for sales if you can wait. For my specific unit : 3 Stars. - I really hope they figure this out, and other people are not encountering / having the same issue !! (M7100X) Great sound though, good power, if it wasn't for the 'buzz' : 5 Stars for small / medium theater room, or even large depending on speaker/sensitivity/power.. etc. Also I tried that ' connecting the chassis screw ' trick at some point in my troubleshooting, that made the buzz 5x worse probly a true ground loop on that separate test... This could be dependent on the gear used. At the moment I have an older preamp other brand. Hope this helps!! and good luck!!

I am very satisfied with the unit and it performs great, and it looks great with the rest of my equipment and I would greatly recommend it to anyone looking for an independent amplifier. I have made comparisons with other models and specifications and I am extremely impressed.
Makes my System Come Alive! Amazing!

Finally, my system (7.3.4) is at its peak and feels ALIVE! This amp drives my center, surround left/right, and height front left/right. I was relying on my Onkyo RZ3100 to drive the 7 PSB speakers that are ~91db efficient (L/C/R/SL/SR/HL/HR) and it did that well, my Surround Backs and Height Rears are driven by Aiyima A07 over fiber optic due to awkwardness of my space. Most people would not complain, but my living room is an open space with about 4K cu ft to cover. I once used some old FOSI amps to drive my surrounds and I noticed something there.....somehting I was missing. Told myself I'll get the Emotiva for the L/C/R but the Monoliths came out and I waited on the 7-channel version. I have had great experiences with Monoprice and their Monolith products. So. I ordered and hooked it up to all channels except my L/R, those are driven by the AVR and my rear stuff is handled by the Aiyimas still because it need to be run over fiber. After hooking up the amp, I ran it through my test movies and music??just wow. Things I noticed are: 1. Details - much more details in movies like wind, sand, and overall center clarity. Like night and day difference...night and day. 2. Dynamism - more headroom for that real movie experience. The AVR was good, but this is just wow. 3. - No real heat from my systems. They stay cool driving them all day so far and I'm only using 5 of the 7 channels in this amp. 4. Can lower crossover of speakers properly now and let them open up...but ultimately just lowered my L/R to 50hz (gosh these sound amazing from just the AVR driving them) everything else is 80Hz. 4. I would buy again and again. Best money I've spent. I thought my Onkyo chip was weak?.but boy am I wrong. The AVR has a nice power for my 6 ohm speakers and driving the L/R and letting the other amps handle the surrounds and center in my case in absolutely amazing!! System Spec: Onkyo RZ 3100, PSB Image (old models and upgraded all tweeters with Peerless ) T65, C40, B15. Heights are PSB Alpha L/R. Thor Fiber 8 channel (this makes 4 audio channels) extender for rears into 2 x Aiyima A07 stock with 48v 5a power supply. Subs x3 are the Monolith M-15 V1, M-12 V1, M-12 V2 coming from Onkyo > MiniDSP 2 x4 > subs.
