Spaces that previously couldn’t be bought such as GO, and Jail, can now be bought, as well as other new opportunities such as buying abilities and more from the Sale Vault. Though after reading the instructions and incorporating it into gameplay, it really worked well and fixed one of the week points of classic monopoly. Which is to speed things up. I highly recommend taking a look at this accessory pack.

My 9 year old son and I added the Go to Jail expansion to our Monopoly set, and it totally changes the game in the best way. The Corruption and Super Corruption cards are so much fun, he loves the idea of “getting away with mischief” and I’ll admit, it adds a sneaky little twist that keeps things exciting. The game moves faster, but still feels full of strategy. It’s been a hit during our family game nights. A great add-on if you’re looking to shake things up with some laughs and clever new rules!

From my experience, it really spices things up by making jail a much bigger part of the gameplay. You get more chances to send people to jail or get stuck there yourself, and there are new cards and rules that make jail more of a challenge (or a strategy, depending on how you play). It definitely adds drama and keeps everyone on their toes. If your group likes a bit of chaos and competition, this expansion makes things a lot more unpredictable—and honestly, more fun.

Landing on the “Go to Jail” space or drawing the wrong Chance or Community Chest card sends a player directly to jail, where they must either roll doubles, pay a fine, or use a Get Out of Jail Free card to escape. Pros: • Strategic Depth: Being in jail can be beneficial in the later game when properties are heavily developed, as it lets you avoid landing on costly spaces. • Balance Mechanic: It adds randomness and an obstacle to fast-moving players. • Tension & Drama: It creates suspense when rolling to escape and changes the flow of the game. Cons: • Frustrating Early Game: Getting stuck in jail early on can hurt property acquisition. • Randomness Factor: Some players feel it’s too luck-based rather than skill-based. • Can Stall Gameplay: If multiple players are stuck, turns can slow down. Overall, the Go to Jail rule is a classic but divisive feature—sometimes it helps, sometimes it ruins a strategy.

Who knew I would grow up and become a real estate broker. I bought the game for us to play in the office. Pretty funny. While I miss the wooden houses and hotels from the original, the game is just as good and just as much fun to play today.

Easy to set up have clear instructions how to play again easy to store in its own box. Good quality hard cardboard parts shoud last well. Is good that they cheap so everyone can enjoy them
