This hub let me extend a laptop output to a pair of 1440 monitors. I needed to get from DP to HDMI since my gaming rig was on the DP inputs. It takes care of the DP to HDMI for you if that is what you need. Very nice and solid build ... I will purchase a second one when they are back in stock.
