Additionally, the stiffer material means deeper bass and higher power handling, with significantly less distortion.

Description
This carbon fiber in-ceiling speaker is the perfect combination of performance and style. The use of carbon fiber for the woofer means that the speaker can hit harder, go lower, and handle more power with significantly less distortion than conventional drivers. The silk dome tweeter produces clean, crisp, and clear highs and mids. You can fine tune the blend of sound using the built-in high frequency attenuator in case the sound is too bright. The metal grille can be painted to match your ceiling and attaches easily using magnets.

Good speakers for the price. Great budget height/atmos solution. However, the screws break when tightening. Probably not worth the hassle replacing given monoprice customer service.

Arrived as promised. Very well packed, nothing damaged or bent. Installed the pair of speakers in less than 30 minutes. Cleaning up the sheetrock mess is always a chore. Magnetic grill is oversized so it covers any rough sheetrock cuts. Very clean installation. So far sound quality is very satisfactory for the price. High quality product, I'm very satisfied.

Using these for ATOMS in a HT setup. For the price, they are ?good enough? for how I?m using them. Not a big fan of their x-over point and build quality (4 screws broke as I started tightening them and used 2? sheet rock screws to fix/replace all of them?also foam wasn?t stuck well) as its a little cheesy, but expected for the price. I have other brand in-wall and in-ceiling speakers that absolutely blow these away in every category, price included! You get what you pay for applies here. If you-Monoprice fix the X-over, give an actual 8? woofer (not 6.5?) and have better build quality, you could charge a little more and have a way better product, keeping customers like myself. This is a one and done for me with your speaker(s) line offerings.

Was hoping they just needed to break in but no, these speakers sound terrible. They are cheap though! The driver is justified to the top of the frame - kinda defeating the purpose of being angled. Paradigm angled drivers sit low in the frame - smart. They are also absurdly big. I now have 10.53" holes in my ceiling that NO other speakers fit.

I recently installed the Alpha 15 degree ceiling speakers and they have been fantastic with music, movies, and television. First, you need to understand that in-wall and in-ceiling speakers have inherent limitations compared to enclosed speakers - If you want a clean look, you're going to have to sacrifice some sound quality, regardless of brand. Second, the biggest compromise of in-ceiling speakers, IMO, is the low frequencies which they simply cannot produce well. I use these in a setup with 2 subwoofers which readily solves the issue. Third, these are outstanding quality, both in sound and the build. They are very solid, very well designed, and very well built. The installation process is fantastically easy - you'll spend far more time running wires than installing these. 10/10

These are pretty inexpensive speakers compared to other brands. They do sound great and I like that they're 15 degrees. I do a bit of installs on angled ceilings so it's nice to have speakers that can shoot the sound directly at them.

Alpha speakers are great. They are quality sound with a full range. I went with 3 angled fronts and 4 down speakers. All are Alpha series 8" speakers. These were paired with 2 Monoprice 12" powered subs (Product # 9723). My living room is as good as a movie theater with this 7.2 setup. RIP my neighbors ears. :P

I will admit I was a little nervous purchasing these as I hadn’t heard of Monoprice before and was solely going on a friends word of mouth reference. I would buy these again. I really like the angled speaker. I am using as a surround speaker. The 8” woofer speakers are pretty big when accounting for the size of the grill, however I would stay with that same size because my room larger (12’deep x 20 long with 10’ ceilings). Sounds great easy install and quality seems good so far.
