This carbon fiber in-wall speaker is the perfect combination of performance and style. The use of carbon fiber for the woofer means that the speaker can hit harder, go lower, and handle more power with significantly less distortion than conventional drivers. The carbon fiber mid-range and silk dome tweeter produce clean, crisp, and clear highs and mids. You can fine tune the blend of sound using the built-in high frequency attenuator in case the sound is too bright. The metal grille can be painted to match your walls and attaches easily using magnets.

These are great speakers. Don't let the low price deter you, they are plenty loud and clear. I use my Denon 3700H as a preamp and power these with external amps. They punch way above their price point.
Awesome sound, only after break-in.

In the beginning, I wasn't impressed at all. They sounded terribly out of the box. Too bright and ugly sound. But after setting up the right crossover settings on the receiver and by the end of the break-in period, they started to sound amazing! Make sure to follow the break-in instructions. Now, after that, I really love them! They are simply the most awesome in-wall/ceiling speakers for the price! These are way better than the Micca ones I have in my bedroom. The sound dispersion and clarity are awesome.

I bought these without too many reviews but I have to say they sound great and were easy (as possible with an in-wall) to install. No regrets. Hopefully they last a while as now have a pretty large hole in the wall. I hooked them up to two different receivers. An older large stereo receiver and they sounded good, a little bright and not as much bass but clear and louder than I would ever want to go. Then I got myself a small 100W amp off amazon that had adjustments for treble and bass. This smaller amp can't get the volume as high but with maxed out bass and a little bump for treble they sound awesome for music and can still get louder than I would ever want to listen to music. I would recommend.

I tried to give these THREE stars but got a "can't accept reviews now" message. Got a buzz between the inner and outer frame (solved with hockey tape), but the frame-in-frame design is super easy to install. They are not very musical IMO, my pinnacle and yamaha in-walls sound much better (caveat, only about 80 hrs on these yet). Do follow the advice to work the screws / tabs before installing, I lost one cuz it bound then fell off when I backed it out (my fault). Also if you can't make in-wall boxes consider reinforcing drywall (I glued paint stir sticks on the back sides). I strongly recommend testing with a tone generator, I found lots of noises (buzz in the frame, insulation paper, loose drywall screws). OK for surround, NOT main stereo / center.

I highly recommend these speakers. I've also got a pair of the Caliber in-wall speakers (both are 3-way, 8"). I will say that the Carbon Fiber Alphas sound better to me. Granted, I am using these speakers for surround sound so most of what they do is ricochet sounds, jets flying overhead, bats flying all around, etc.. However, I did play some music through them and they sound amazing for $143.00 a pair.
