I have not had time to install the cable, but there are two places on the cable where it looks like the machine that manufactured the cable twisted it into a lump. I straightened the bad places out as best I could but I am not sure if the wires inside are damaged. At this point, I am NOT impressed.

Wanted to shorten the 25 ft cables that AT&T used to install my uverse. This 3 ft RJ 45 worked perfectly.

Works fine, but the RJ45 connector on one end doesn't click when you insert it. It doesn't fall out in normal use, but could easily be knocked out in a slightly busier environment. Seems to be a build quality issue.

Used to install new router that had to be relocated further away from cable box and computer. They work well, no issues, good value and prompt delivery.

I actually like making cables -- cut them to just the right length. BUT...for patch cables which are best made with stranded wire CATX cables (I've never made an Ethernet cable with stranded wires), I will aalways buy from Moniprice.

I needed some simple, basic cables because I am cutting them in half to make connection cables for an electronics project that used RJ45 jacks on the PCB for simplicity. That's why I went with these, as cheap as buying ends and a spool of cable and making my own. So they are not being used in the usual manner in my case, but I'm sure they'd work fine. I usually buy slightly nicer cables to connect my network devices - buy lots of them through Monoprice, always had good quality.

These came exactly as pictured. They are a great way to clean up your patch panel to switch cabling, being short but just long enough to go from one to the other without a lot of extra. Highly recommend this kind over the tangle-free cables. The tangle-free are a lot more bulky for no real reason.
