Description
Monoprice cat6 fixed length network cables are the perfect combination of value and performance. Available in a large assortment of colors and lengths, we have a cable to fit every situation. Each cable is made of 24AWG stranded pure bare copper conductor pairs with 50m gold plated contacts (short body). Most budget cables skimp with only 10m. Each cable features color matched, snagless strain relief boots.
Monoprice cat5e and cat6 cables are made of 100 percent pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444 and National Electrical Code TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in cat5e and cat6 communications cables.

I specifically ordered the connectors without the plug retain protectors. But I received all the cables with that PAIN. This is a very bad design. Unplugging the cable is panful. I don't care if it is more expensive and I DO NOT WANT that retainer protector in ANY of my cables.

The boot is very stiff and cheaply made. It is incredibly difficult to move to another port. The cables all worked, but took so much force to remove that I thought I was going to break the switch or jack they were connected to, that I wouldn't recommend them.

They do their job, but we have been pretty unimpressed with these cables. We purchased several dozen of them to build out a network rack, and discovered during installation that the protection boots are EXTREMELY stiff and very difficult to work with. We often have to use pliers to depress the latch enough to come out of the patch panel. I don't plan on buying these again, exclusively because of that.

Cables worked just fine and are great quality, but the little tabs for removing them from the port are too small. I ended up having to use a small flat head screwdriver to push the tab down far enough to release it from the port.

The 2 20ft gray cables I purchased would not pull out of the modem ethernet jack without a fight. After 10 minutes and 3 tools, I finally pulled these out. All the smaller ones I bought were perfect.
