Atypical contact arrangement and a huge time-suck to use.

Installed wire with 110 punch tool. Need to aim tool carefully for it to cut right, as the cutting shoulder is shallow. These work with no problems.
Don' overthink it.

Been three decades since my last Network class. Used internet to find wiring scheme. There seems to be a few different layouts that the pros will recognize know what is what. Me a home owner not so much. So what works best is this: Simply follow the color code for this connector and it will work. Installed fiver per the connector scheme and plugged in to router. All systems worked first time no issues.
Thank you Mono for making this now an industry standard size.

I thank the reviewers that posted pictures of the new style jack. These will now fit in a 4 or 6 port Decora style keystone insert(device), which is widely used on most residential jobs. Construction of the jack is superb. I go through hundreds of these per month and other brands cost twice to 3 times as much, Leviton, Wirepath, or similar industry brands. I've recently ordered my first 100 jacks and will continue to use this new model. Tip for some Pros, this jack will fit on the Wirepath keystone crimp tool that does all pairs at once, by filing down the base rails slightly.
don't fit in monoprice keystone panel

BEWARE - THEY CHANGED THE PUNCH LAYOUT

Received my order 2 June 2021 and the keystones are bagged with the correct item number, but the punch layout of the keystones is totally different from what they've shipped before and different from what is pictured. If you're expecting the arrangement like is inpicture - that they've used forever -you're going to be disappointed.
As a novice definitely worth it

I bought a bunch of these thinking they would only be used in wall plates. After getting the Klein tool passthrough RJ45 modular plugs and having a few fail on me I ordered more to use these and then run the 1/2 or 1 foot cables from this to the switch. Premade cables are so cheap compared to the frustration of terminating the ethernet to an RJ45 for someone like myself.
Worked well, but not as shown.

These worked but are different than shown. No strain relief built in and they are so tight that I couldn't use my punch down tool. I managed to get them installed with little fuss though and they seem to be working.

These used to be great jacks. The latest batch I received has the same item number on the bags, but is not the product that is currently pictured as of 1/11/2021. The ones I received don't have any strain relief at all (no slot at the back, and no cable tie, and no other strain relief system). They look like they will punch down well, but I need these jacks to have the strain relief in my application, so these are basically useless to me.
NOT THE SAME PRODUCT

Monoprice has changed this product and isn't what is in the picture. I am not sure why this has changed. These jacks no longer fit in any of their patch panels. DO NOT BUY!!!
NOT THE SAME JACK

I have been buying these for years. The jacks I received on 2020-12-18 are not the same. They lack the cable retention in the back and they are harder to punch. The different style I did receive did not fail. (Used over 50 so far). The bag is marked Item# 5384 If you are going to supply a different product, you should let the buyer know so they can make an educated decision.

Installed a ton of these. After trying these, while I assumed would be junk jacks because they were way cheaper. I find them to be equal to if not better then the several main brand others I have tried over the years. I have had zero bad jacks out of at least 500 installs, probably over 1000.

I didn't have a punch down tool. Punched the cat6 cable with the back of my utility knife blade and it worked like a breeze. I am not sure if that is ideal way to do it but it worked out well for me. The quality seems good. It also comes with little covers and a tiny cable tie.

I buy these guys all the time. They're fairly easy to work with, reasonably priced, and I don't have to drag cables across my floor!.
Nice but (too) wide

Fine for 1-3 leviton plate. Too wide for 4/6 hole leviton plate. They don't fit. You'd need to get slim keystone jack. Otherwise perfect.
As easy to install as any other 110 punch down jack

What can I say, it's 110 punch down jack. If you've already installed any they are very easy to install. I've installed many rj11, cat 3 and cat 5 jacks over the years.
Works fine with small adjustment

I got these with a smaller, Leviton, deco keystone insert. I had to shave down the side tabs of these to get it to fit. Otherwise they're pretty good!
