Q: My TV is only 22 lbs but 50 in, will this mount work?

A: Thank you for your question. This mount will work if: your television is under 66lbs, your television has a VESA pattern between 75x75 and 100x100, the area between the bottom VESA holes on TV and the top of the TV bezel is under 16.5 inches.

Q: Is the arm on this mount reversible, so that you can have the tv facing the ceiling when folded up, rather than the floor?

This can be mounted on ceiling or wall. Use spacers under top two mounting bolts to get your viewing angle preference.

The only way it locks up is with an Allen wrench - not something you can do every day without stripping it and not something that can be done quickly. Additionally, while it says it fits TVs up to 40?, for larger TVs you will probably have to track down and buy an adapter (not easy to find) to get this to work.
