A: Thank you for your question. This is not a wireless home theater system. These speakers are designed to be wired to a AV Receiver or Amplifier.

Nice speakers. Hooked up to my older Sony 5.1 receiver, sounded really good.
Great surround-sound setup.

I wanted an upgrade to my two-homepod sound system for my home theater, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This set was the perfect choice, as I already had a Yamaha 5.1 amplifier that wasn't being used. The speakers sound very good, and the sense of surround is much better than the two-homepod setup. Action movies really shine, as I can hear things like helicopters, trains, bullets, etc. move all around me. I've also been playing vinyl through these with 5-channel stereo setting on my amp, and it really makes a difference in the listening experience. I am not an audiophile, and these sound much better than "good enough" to me. Plus, I got them on sale for $40 off the regular price, so I'm very happy. I highly recommend.
Love it!

I drove myself nuts doing new sound system research. Bottom line, can?t beat this price, and it sounds great. A very nice upgrade from my old sony 5.1 system. I powered it with a denon 5.2 receiver. I love the adjustable powered sub. It?s just powerful enough that I needed to dial it back just a touch. The center speaker isn?t huge, but its crystal clear vocals make the system a must have. I put it behind the tv facing out so it doesn?t block the bottom of the screen and it still sounds great. I didn?t care or understand what the reviews were saying about the amazing shipping packaging, but once it came, I got it, and loved it. So easy to set up. Product would be very difficult to damage during shipping. Don?t get a sound bar, get this system.

Purchased the HT-35 (espresso) system about 3 weeks ago. Paired it with a 65 inch Sony and a Denon AVR S540BT. Paid $229 for the HT-35 set. There is no set of speakers on the market at this price that perform as well as these let alone any better. For that matter, I'm not sure that the difference in sound quality that more expensive speakers offer is really worth the additional money. Pound for pound dollar for dollar, the HT-35 system is tough beat. My only issue, they area little larger than some compact speakers. Make sure that your speaker brackets (if used) will accommodate speakers a little heavier than most. Even my wife, who is no audiophile by a long shot agreed these speakers sounded really good. Try them. You will be very happy that you did.

I replaced my 5.1 sound-bar with a 5.1 receiver and needed a set of 5.1 speakers, but I didn’t want to spend a fortune. Purchased this set after seeing a lot of positive reviews online, and I’m pleased to report that it blows my sound-bar out of the water.

For the price, don't think you can beat it.

I've had dinners at resturants more expensive than this speaker system cost, so I think this is a great value all things considered. Yes it's not a top quality system, but it's much higher quality than I expected once I got it in person. The fit and finish are nice, removable speaker grills are a nice touch, and I like the speaker wire push posts better than the generally cheaper spring clips you usually find on low end gear. I'm using a Sony STRDH590 5.2-ch receiver, so I have a complete system for less than $500 dollars, and turning up the volume to half way is enough to make my wife say "it's too loud!" so I think this is just fine. Watching movies/TV there's a noticable difference in sound quality and the stereo seperation between left/right/surround channels, very much worth the upgrade from the sound bar I was using previously.
Sounds good and priced right.

Love this speaker set, monoprice always knows the correct specs and quality. System sounds great. However, I did have a challenge with the dedicated 1/4-20 mounting screw that is in the description. I found it to actually be a M6 screw size instead. I ended up ordering the low profile 22lb mounts that came with all the hardware I needed. Hopefully, this review will help out someone else until monoprice can correct their online description of the product.

Great product. I purchased HT 5.1 to pair it with my Sony DH790. Added 2 polk for Atmos. Amazing set up. They compliment each other well. Technically and aesthetically. Sounds amazing. Love it.

I’m not an audiophile by any means. I needed a 5.1 for my basement. These little guys sound pretty good without breaking the bank. I have them on a Teac receiver. The sub is boomy but I reigned it in with the settings on my receiver and the dials on the back of the sub. The speakers sound good too! I spent more time dialing in the receiver to the 5.1 to get it the way I think it sounds good. I also tied it in with 14 gauge wire and banana clips. It comes double-boxed with molded foam. It was very well packaged!
