Introducing Stage Right by Monoprice STARQUAD XLR Microphone Cables. These are Pro-Grade, balanced microphone cables, commonly used to carry low-level signals. Microphones produce very low level signal feeds, which are easily susceptible to magnetic interference. Microphone outputs must be amplified and when a microphone feed is amplified, any interference will also be amplified. Stage Right STARQUAD XLR Microphone Cables' four cores are very tightly twisted with each other and rotate over a relatively short length, very similar to what is found in an Ethernet cable. This arrangement results in a greatly improved rejection of electromagnetic interference, compared to standard two-core balanced mic cables. I tour and bought these for the artist I worked for. Amazing cables. As good as neutrik. Don't listen to the other review about phantom power, it works fine with it.

The technology isn't new but the quad core common mode rejection in affordable mic cables is a recent development. These are EXTREMELY quiet! And to anyone concerned about phantom power use can rest assured that your favorite tube mic will be very well fed it's 48V DC!

An excellent product. The 24 awg wire size allows the cable to be very flexible and to not cause unnecessary strain on the connected devices. The star quad wire arrangement is a nice bonus.

I am by no means an expert, not even a novice, in studio equipment ownership or use. That said, I do know quality when I see it, and this cable seems to be of decent quality. It is light-weight, the sheathing is flexible and isn’t sticky. The connections snap firmly and do not appear to be made of junk materials. It is a nice looking cable and should hold up well over time.
