I was using two cables with an adapter to connect my turntable to my laptop to transfer some music. The cables worked, but it was clunky and a little short to comfortably reach my laptop, so I bought this to make it a bit easier. Unfortunately, it doesn?t pass any audio at all. Since this type of cable is usually used for printer connections, maybe it wasn?t designed with enough bandwidth to work for audio applications? I don?t really know, but at least it was cheap enough that I don?t really need to care. Flush that money down the toilet and go back to two cables and an adapter. I?ve bought other Monoprice cables and they?ve always been great, but I struck out on this one.

I love this cable, it's necessary to plug in certain older devices and printers. It's gold plated and it works very well and has a good price.

great cables. i had to buy a ferrite choke to eliminate some high frequency noise (I?m using it to connect an Audio Interface to a computer), so it would be nice if it came with one, but still a great deal for a nice long usb cable
