Q: The middle column is taller than the two sides, so its all wonky like a seesaw... are there supposed to be feet that attach to the bottom of the side boards?

Perfect piece for my dad's room. It was easy to assemble, but took me at least an hour and a half with distractions. Also, there is no color coding in the directions for the center piece of the dresser...lol, I had to switch them later....after I thought I was done. A side drawer piece was missing, so I did have to wait for a replacement piece. Easy replacement with the manufacturer. If you want solid wood, this is not it, but is a good substitute and the finished product looks nice.

It was easy to put together, clear instructions. Looks great. Drawers open and close smoothly. As long as you don't expect too much you will be happy, meaning the quality and workmanship is excellent, it's a sturdy/solid peice with minorest of impererfecttions around the edges that you'd have to look for because it's not solid cherrywood after all, but decorative plywood, cherry wood in this case. You can cover any imperfections with a brown sharpie, totally unnoticeable. Bottom line: it is beautiful and worth the price and effort to build.
