The Responsible Down Standard aims to ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to an unnecessary harm. Of all insulations, down will give you the greatest warmth for the least weight. Each ounce of high quality down has about 2 million fluffy filaments that interlock and overlap to form a protective layer of still air that keeps warmth in and cold out. Speaking of warmth, we’ve included a 3- panel hood for added protection from the elements. There is no shortage of pockets with this piece including double-entry hand pockets, side entry hand pockets with quick-dry fleece lining, two chest pockets with zipper closure and one interior chest pocket with snap closure. This hip length parka is finished off with premium nylon snaps, our iconic Bison Patch, a 2-way YKK vislon zipper pull and best of all... a functioning compass at the zipper pull to keep you on course should the need arise.
