how to measure

finding your shoe size takes just 3 steps.

  1. Stand with one bare foot on a piece of paper.
  2. Mark the paper at the back of your heel bone & at the end of your longest toe.
  3. Measure the distance between these two points in a straight line, & repeat the same steps for the other foot.

If one foot is longer, use the larger measurement to find your shoe size by referencing the size chart above. If your measurement is in between sizes & the shoes don’t come in half sizes, please round up to the next size.

Remember, this chart can only approximate your true shoe size. Finding a shoe that fits also depends on brand, style and individual. To find the best fit, we recommend visiting a Target store to try on different shoe sizes & styles.

Best worst chef shoes you can buy.

I've been wearing these since 2005. The absolute best chef shoe on the market for look and comfort for 6 months. Now the bad part. Loosens A LOT within a couple weeks so buy ONE SIZE SMALLER. Trust me. Also leather rips on the back by Achilles which makes it then uncomfortable. But i still buy them because there's nothing on the market like them. I wish they were more durable and loosened much much less.

Shoes look and feel great. Besides that, they do not keep that professional look very long. The front of the shoe wears down rather quickly. Anyone doing real kitchen work who cares about the professional finished look lasting, these are not for you.

I thought I would splurge and buy the expensive pair but what a disappointment! These shoes didn't even last a year. Other cheaper shoes I've bought in the past the lasted much much longer. Fabric in the right heel is almost nonexistent now which makes the shoe not fit properly.

So far these shoes have been really good at keeping my feet dry where other water resistant shoes did not, and they support my feet well so I'm not extremely sore at end of day. The only negative so far is that they do scuff easily on the toe area.

Comfy Shoe

The shoe is very, very comfortable, (the shoes are 3 weeks old) it was tight at first and then adjusted to my foot. with saying that it, in my experience(this is the 2nd pair my company paid for), it does become a slip on after 8 months or so. Slip resistant works as advertised. First day wearing them, a crease formed where my foot bends from walking , to go along with that the material scuffs easy. It has made the shoes look well worn ever since. They do clean easy and I don't sweat in them either.

These shoes seem to be a titch too small, but are workable. Oddly, the left shoe has a nice shiny surface. The right shoe is dull looking.

Durability

Day one I must have hit a corner of a table or doorway. A big chunk was taken out of the toe. Blemishes, scrapes and scratches show easily. Break these in only for about 4 hours a day otherwise your feet will hurt. Unfortunately for me I needed these as a replacement and had to wear them all day and felt like torture.

Great fitting shoe that remain comfortable during a 12 hour shift. The only downfall (no pun intended!), is the non slip soles which are very hard to keep clean. Shoes would be better with the sole you have on your own brand of clogs.

Better than I expected

I am a chef at a large hospital. I am on my feet 10-12 hours a day, and routinely hit over 20k steps. These shoes are super comfortable! First of all, they come with better insoles than most shoes, so don't do what I did and order extra insoles, although I have a backup set now for other shoes. The shims they include really help with fitting, I ordered a 14W and they were *almost* to big without them. That never happens. Very easy to clean, comfortable, and they look good. I have had these since June and aside from some wear around the toe, they look pretty much the same as they did when I got them. They do scuff easily, as mentioned especially around the toe area. I use my feet to open/close things on occasion, and that's where most of the wear and tear is from. Overall, I will definitely be ordering another pair when these finally die. Also, as someone who used to rock the NB 623, these are much more water resistant, at least to the point where they don't smell moldy inside after a month or two.

Unfortunate Soles

I've bought these shoes for about several years straight and usually buy two pairs, 4 shoes altogether. I've had other parts of the shoes eventually wear, and tear within the year. These last 4 shoes have peel from the front back a bit. I keep telling myself that I'll buys adhesive and still haven't. So several months later, I've done nothing. One show peeled back significantly enough to have a tongue. I tend to step into a wet environment at work and outside of work. So to my surprise, the water has not made its way through.

I wore this shoe as a culinary student. It was comfortable, had good slip resistance and was easy to clean. That lasted about 2 years until the sole on the right shoe separated from the upper around the toe section.

Not for working people

First off, I rarely ever do these reviews, but I realize how hard some chefs work and the hours u put in. I needed a wide shoe and their selection isn't that great in this area. I must say though, shoes are comfy, AFTER I replaced the insoles with better ones, don't see them holding up very long for us chefs who are on our feet 10-14 hours a day. Probably will hold up longer for chefs who just sit in a chair all day and give orders .Only had these shoes a few weeks and elastic in middle already flimsy and becoming less elastic. Leather around soles where stitched becoming very soft, I will be expecting a refund if they separate within next few weeks. Grooves on bottom are way to narrow and collect food particles all day, then you spend 10 minutes a night trying to get it out. I have had others in past where grooves are wider and can get food out easily with just a sprayer. Never had slip issue with those, why did they change? Certainly wasn't designed by someone who knows the kitchen environment. Save your money, don't buy these shoes, not worth the price, better off buying two pair of another shoe.
