my daughter opened this Christmas eve, put new batteries in it. Nothing. tried 2 more sets of batteries again nothing. there is no way to access to see what the problem is. ordered another so hope this one works

purchased both of the shadow boxes. compared to other animated music I have purchased I am impressed with these for the price. the painted surfaces are not as messy as most are (being artistic myself) so very little fixes are needed. The backgrounds are printed on canvas so if set near a window light shines through and creates depth to the scene without even turning it on. I will give them a 4+ rating. Unique idea
