Just a bit of water and some scrubbing is all you need to remove even the most stubborn of stains with one of my Magic Eraser Sheets. There shouldn't be any chalk-like marks left behind, but there can be residue from the melamine foam breaking down as you scrub stains away, think how a pencil eraser wears down, when erasing mistakes, it's a similar process. That being said, there shouldn't be a white film, but small pieces of residue are possible. For best results, use only water on it and gently squeeze out the excess, no twisting, just gently squeeze.
