Q: Is this product a non sleepy kind like for just daytime or whatever
A: Thank you for your question. Mucinex® Fast-Max® Adult Liquid Severe Congestion & Cough contains guaifenesin, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine. Guaifenesin is not known to cause drowsiness. The active ingredient dextromethorphan has been shown to produce drowsiness in some patients. Phenylephrine is known to be a stimulant which can be considered non-drowsy. These three ingredients together cannot be considered non-drowsy due to the inclusion of dextromethorphan.

Guaifenesin is not known to cause drowsiness. Dextromethorphan has been shown to produce drowsiness in some patients. Phenylephrine is known to be a stimulant which can be considered non-drowsy. Q: Does this interfere with depression medication?

You should not use this product if you are currently taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI prescription drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, speak with your Doctor before taking this product. Hope this helps.

Q: for how long it's safe to take this medicine? I ve been sick for a week and the last three days couldn't sleep because of having to mouth breath.
