Absolutely destroys your mouth for some reason. We have never had any cough drop do this but it makes little sores around your mouth and tongue.

Initially, I really like the smell, but afterwards I left my tongue feeling numb? There was no soothing powers basically for my throat? So I’m not exactly sure what it did. Just give me this weird after taste that I still can’t get out of my mouth.

Everyone is writing bad reviews saying it didn’t help their cough… well yeah, it’s not a cough drop. It says right on the bag “oral pain reliever”, it’s meant to have a numbing effect. Now I won’t be giving these 5 stars or anything because they do taste pretty bad and you have to consciously hold it in the back of your mouth or it will make the rest of your mouth numb and not really elevate the sore throat. Sore throat is pretty miserable and these lozenges do help so I’m continuing to use them despite not liking the taste, but definitely don’t buy these to use like a cough drop!

These have a terrible after-taste. It also takes a super long time to get rid of the after taste too. Yuck! Oh and they did absolutely nothing for my sore throat. They provided a little moisture or lubrication for that dry throat feeling but nothing impressive. Would not recommend at all!

These are the worst cough drops I’ve ever bought. I bought them because I like otc mucinex medicine for coughs and sickness but these did nothing other than numb my tongue. Try the Vick’s vapocool severe cough drops instead.

I reached out to Mucinex customer support, due to a bad reaction to this product. I bought them 2 days as I was having irritation to my throat. I usually use the day/night mucinex cough syrup and am familiar with the brand; so I felt comfortable trying these out for the first time. Unfortunately after consuming 3 I can truthfully say these are not for me and have burned my mouth. It didn’t really help with soothing the irritation of my throat however, my tongue was numb. After my tongue was no longer numb that’s when I would feel an aftermath burning sensation that affected the roof of my mouth and tongue. I’m hoping the sensation will go away in a couple days. It is really alarming and a very uncomfortable experience. I am not allergic to anything as well, that’s another reason as to why I’m alarmed by the reaction to these cough drops. Needless to say, I won’t be purchasing these again as this is not the results I was expecting or needing for a sore throat.

I have had decent luck with a few Mucinex branded OTC items in the past, but this "InstaSoothe" line seems to be a complete gimmick. I coughed and hacked the entire time I had the drops in my mouth with no change whatsoever if not the opposite of the of the intended effect. So far as I can tell all these do is make my tongue numb and make things taste funny for a few hours.

I have a horrible sore throat and was so excited to find these. Normally I like the mucinex brand, I buy a few of their products. I'm very disappointed in the insta soothe product. Tastes fine but numbed my tongue and cheek does absolutely nothing for my throat.
