Q&A(6)

Q: How many sprays per bottle?

submitted by Mary - 5 months ago
  • A: Hi Mary. Per the FDA Final Administrative Order (OTC000026) Over-the-Counter Monograph M012, for a 0.05% aqueous solution of oxymetazoline hydrochloride, adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age can take 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours, not to exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. Given these dosing directions, a user can take no more than 4-6 sprays in total per 24-hours. Given the instructions on how to prime the pump along with variability in consumer usage, we do not indicate number of sprays or doses on the label as this can vary.

submitted by cam - 2 years ago
  • A: The box states that it is made in India. It does not state where the ingredients come from. An alternative that was in the local store but not online is Vicks Sinex Severe which is made in Germany.
