Q: Mold grows in the straw, can these cups be boiled to try to remove the mold? the cleaning utensil can't reach the mold. Thabk you.

submitted by Kirsten - 2 years ago
  • A: The straw is very narrow, and boiling water won’t flow through. A water jet from a sink sprayer or a rigid strand such as a bristle from a broom can push residue out.

  • A: It will drip slightly from the weight of the liquid in the straw. You can flip the top lid closed, and it will pinch the straw shut and stop the drip.

submitted byFleetside Garage - 10 months ago

Q: We have 2 of these cups, our loves them but the straws have started to leak. The cup will be sitting on the counter and the liquid will come up out of the straw. Does this mean the straws need to be replaced?

submitted by Liz - 6 years ago
  • A: Its standard expansion as the liquid and air in the bottle warms and slightly expands and pushes the milk up the straw.

Q: It is so hard to suck any liquid out of this cup? I can barely get milk out, let alone my 20 month old. Is there something I can do to fix this?

submitted by Katrina - 6 years ago
  • A: The straw is very thin, and Munchkin states it is for a 6+ month old. Once they get to about 12-18 months, the straw flow is too small.

Terrible design. It is literally impossible to clean the straw. It shouldnt take more than a second to be able to clean the straw with a straw cleaner. Its impressive how terrible this design is.

For the cups where the straws are free flowing, this is a good product. For the cups we received where the straws are clogged no matter how much we try to clear the passage, the product needs more testing before it is sent out to customers.

It takes so much effort to try to suck any liquid out, how is a baby supposed to do this? Complete garbage. I thought ours was damaged and bought a second one for only it to be even worse. Stop selling this! Also terrible to try to clean.

bought this cup today for my 15m old and first thing i noticed when i got home was the suction is horrible. it’s so hard to get any liquid out to drink. also it says spill proof which i was obviously excited about just to see it immediately leaking all over the place, my daughter had it on her little couch and i look over and all of her full cup of juice was gone and seeped onto her couch. so annoying, i already threw the packaging away so now i can’t even return it. i added a pic of me testing how it was leaking, laid it on a paper towel for literally a minute and all the juice was gone.

We were really disappointed with purchasing this straw cup. Our baby was showing enthusiasm for drinking with a straw, but this cup was so difficult to drink from that it frustrated him, and then we tried it and were shocked by how difficult it was to get any water. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cup was a game changer for my son! We originally had the Lalo Little Cup with silicone straw and my 11 month old would just pull the straw out repeatedly and never actually drink any liquid. As soon as I handed him this weighted straw cup he figured out how to use it immediately and loved drinking it on his own! Such a win, highly recommend.

Straw can be a pain to clean but is perfect for little ones once they’ve learned to drink from a straw. Handles make it easy to hold and I love that they can hold it at any angle and still get water to drink bc of the design. I also like that they don’t have to bite down to get water to come out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is obsessed with this cup. We have a ton of cup options but this is one that he always wants. The colors are bright and fun and he does not seem to have any issues drinking water from the straw. It’s not the easiest to clean but since we just use it as a water cup it’s not the worst. *I received this item as a gift from Munchkin.
