Description
Pint-sized explorers love bath activities that keep them busy and engaged in the tub. Introduce "reel" bathtime fun with the Fishin'™ Bath Toy by Munchkin. The magnetic fishing hook easily picks up sea creatures (which double as bobbing bath toys), and the handle is specially made to fit toddler hands. The reel even makes fun clicking sounds when turned, giving it a more realistic feel. Great for developing hand-eye coordination and teaching cause and effect, too - so your little one falls hook, line and sinker for bathtime learning fun.

Q: Do these fill with water or get water on the inside? I'm looking for non-squirting bath toys/toys that are sealed and won't grow mold. Thanks!
submitted by Colleen - 8 years ago
A: Mine did, but from the looks of the picture, they have upgraded everything in the set since I purchased it.
submitted byMichelle - 8 years agoA: I think they take in a little water, but I shake it out. Not bad like the ducks with the holes on bottom.
submitted byGrandmas Gift - 6 years agoA: Good afternoon, Colleen. The underwater bobbers that come with the Fishin' Bath Toy are air-tight, helping to limit mold and mildew.
submitted byMunchkin - 8 years agoBrand expertA: The bobbers do not, but, unfortunately, the fishing pole does gather water and leak out. I’m pretty disappointed.

The rod is a little too heavy and it’s hard to maneuver and catch the “fish” kids gave up trying to play with it. Durable and cute design

I was a little worried at first bc my 1 year old showed no interest in this but after some time she started fishing and she has gotten really good at it! After one bath I noticed the magnet had moved in one and would no longer work, I thought we were just out of luck but then somehow by the next bath it was fine again. Have had these for months now and still going strong.
So Cute!

Bought this as a present for my grandson. Love the bright colors. It will be fun for summer time water play too.

I don’t like that the rod takes in water, good way to get moldy toys.

This seems to work just fine and the kids love it... they received one each in their Christmas stockings... but if you have two wild boys like I do, you may want to consider whether you want to provide them with two whip-slingshots capable of launch hard plastic "fish" at each other from across the room.

Looooove this toy. A big hit with my 3yr old so far. I only wish there were more little fishies and scuba divers to catch. The fishing line doesn’t retract but it’s still very fun because the magnets are great.

It was fun for my daughter while it lasted but like other reviews stated, the magnetic sand started leaking out into my toddlers bath water! I wouldn’t recommend simply due to the poor quality. I feel like if it was better quality that wouldn’t happen. It shouldn’t happen period.
Fun but occasionally tedious

My daughter loves to play with this toy at bath time, but it’s sometimes difficult for her to get the toys to stick onto the rod with the magnet (causes the occasional tantrum!).

This toy is just okay. The line is stationary, which limits what you can do with it. My 3 year old did enjoy it for a while, but has since grow bored of it.
Good but broke fast

My son loves it but it broke the first time we used it. The fishing rod just isn’t sturdy.

I liked how the rod and reel work like the real thing just like dad fishes… the kids enjoy pretending they are fishing for real and it really expresses their imagination

My 3 year old loves to pop these into her mouth. Why are they shaped like this? It's so unsafe. They should be bigger. I wish they were flatter and longer.

Cute item, but not as good/fun as I expected it to be (for personal reasons). Magnet is strong & works well!

My toddler loves this set and is fascinated by the magnets. The fishing rod and 3 magnetic “balls” (gold fish, diver, and octopus) are well-made. The reel cranks but it does not alter the length of the line. This is an affordable, fun bath toy!

Got this for a 2 year old and he loves it! We put it in a kiddy pool and fish them out, like we used to do at school fairs in the 90s!

Cute but NOT SAFE! My son put this in his mouth and it got stuck. Thankfully it did not go down his throat and I was able to yank it out.
