Incantations and the Occult

The beginning puzzles were fun while on a road trip, but I wish I would have flipped through the book more before purchasing. It’s important for buyers to know this book includes occult incantations as well as mentions of sacrificial wine and prayer beads used as murder weapons. I wanted a logic puzzle book, but was not expecting it to include mentions of dark magic. Will be returning it.

This second volume might be even more fun than the first. It has a spookier, kind of gothic plot that emerges as you solve each puzzle. And there's fun little math riddles hidden throughout, too?! I love the illustrations/exhibits and I'm TOTALLY invested in Logico & Irratino's relationship!! I might be obsessed with these books.

The paper and image quality are nice and there are numerous puzzles to solve. I was looking forward to this as a fun screen free activity and have enjoyed working logic puzzles in the past. But I’m disappointed to share that I find the puzzles either too easy or too confusing to make this the fun activity I’d hoped for.
