About the Author
Lisa Varchol Perron writes picture books, middle grade novels, and poetry for children. Her poems have appeared in children's magazines, online poetry journals, and anthologies, and she earned the 2021 Boston Authors Club Discovery Award for picture book writers. She lives outside of Boston with her geologist husband and two book-loving kids. Sheryl Murray is an illustrator who grew up drawing on everything, including her brother. A beautiful, lyrical story written in flowing verse. The refrain, which shows that everything fades or changes "except my love for you", is comforting and sweet. There is even a moment of tension in the story, when a beach memento is accidentally broken. It shows that even on a wonderful beach day, things don't always go perfectly, and that's ok! This story is sure to leave you with warm fuzzies. Also, the smooth meter is a pleasure to read aloud. (Best age would be 0-4yrs)
