Q: How can you claim this is vegan if it may contain eggs. And it also may contain peanuts. Those are both highly allergic ingredients. Would like to try it, but I don’t think I want to take the chance with my grandson having food allergies.

A: I found this information on the my mochi website- Is My/Mochi made with nuts? We take allergens very seriously and our facility is free of all nut varieties, sesame, and soy. While our products are produced in a shared facility with dairy and egg, all precautions are considered to prevent cross contamination.

Q: It mentions free of tree nuts but doesn’t mention peanuts

Summary of reviews
Guests appreciate the dairy-free mochi for its delicious taste and satisfying texture, making it a great alternative for those avoiding animal products. While some guests find the oat milk flavor off-putting, many enjoy the strawberry flavor and the similarity to traditional mochi. The product is praised for being a delightful and refreshing treat, though a few guests noted a chemical taste and wished for more pieces per package.

Love these! Especially good after they’ve thawed a little bit. So refreshing and texture is perfect. I’d buy a bigger box if they had one

I had never tried mochi, saw this Oatmilk version in store and loved it. I NEEDED MORE and I looked it up from another retailer and saw all dairy, I was confused. So to my surprise the dairy free version is amazing and I won't buy it any other way. I bought 2 boxes today. Because why is there only 6 to a box???

Hubbie didn't even notice that I swapped out the regular and replaced them with the non-dairy mochi. Glad to see that this is a option. I can not handle dairy. It messes with my blood sugars. Give it a try. You'll never know if you if you like it or not. Again, happy that they make a non-dairy option.

I usually buy the dairy version of this mochi, but decided to try this version. I really dislike it. The oat milk doesn’t mesh well, it just tastes weird to me.

This is probably my favorite non dairy/vegan ice cream treat I’ve had from Target. To me it tastes just like the regular mochi ice creams.

These are one of the best dairy free ice cream treats I've found. I'm sorry that this may sound snobby, but I tend to not trust good reviews from vegan products because most of the reviews are from people who haven't had dairy in a while, so it's hard to remember the exact taste. I enjoy dairy a lot (even though it hates me lol), so I try to compare vegan/DF products to their dairy counterpart. Unfortunately, it's really hard to find vegan ice cream that have the same texture or taste. Most have an icy or gritty texture, or taste like the nut/bean/oat milk they are made from. These strawberry mochi oat treats are extremely similar in texture to dairied ice cream and the strawberry taste is outstanding. The strawberry flavor is more along the lines of artificial strawberry flavor, like a strawberry roll from little Debbie. So if you dislike those, you'd probably not like the taste of these. All in all, I highly recommend you pick these up and give them a taste yourself. I only wish they sold the ice cream separately so I could get more!

Delicious! So happy with this purchase. I used to get vegan mochi at Trader Joe’s, but the closest one is a pain to get to. These are different, thicker, but equally delicious.

I love this brand of Mochi, my favorites in the dairy version are mango and strawberry. I decided to try the nondairy version since it has less saturated fat but I immediately noticed the strange almost chemical taste as soon as I took a bite. After eating it I'm left wondering if this unpleasant taste was from the mochi itself or the filling or if even perhaps it picked up the plastic taste from the container? Ate a dairy version of the same after I had this experience and it tasted wonderful? I just purchased oat milk and berries and sweet rice flour and will make my own. Won't buy these again, not the plant based version.
Great Vegan Option!
