A member of the Italian Illustrators Association, he has worked with National Geographic Children's Books, Random House, and the Smithsonian Institution. His work can be seen in titles such as Little Kids First Big Book of Dinosaurs. Tempesta lives in Verona, Italy. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs, so we bought this book for his birthday. I turned around and bought a second one for my nephew for Christmas! I love the way it is organized by grouping similar dinosaurs together by size. Some children’s books are hard to look at with distracting colors and too many graphics, but this book is perfect. It has just the right amount of information inside and makes it an easy nightly read. We like to do a section at a time and sometimes we sit down and read the whole book. I adore this book and can’t recommend it enough.

My 4yr old has been completely obsessed with this book for months! It is what sparked a love of dinos right now. It is cute how it is organized, shows meat or plant eaters, and parts to spark convo. He even teaches the book to my 2yr old daughter. As a parent I appreciate how it shows you how to pronounce the names!!! 3 stars because the book has started completely falling apart since day one. Just turning a page makes the page perforate out. My son gets so upset and then we spend time every day putting the pages back in order.

I purchased this book for my almost 3yr old son, who loves dinosaurs. The pictures are bright, colorful, and the descriptions are easy for him to understand. The book was delivered when we were on our way out and he hasn't put it down yet! He already has learned new dinos and retained the info we went over!!

This book has wonderful photos and short descriptions of the dinosaurs, which makes it easy for young children to understand. My 4 year old grandson just loves dinosaurs, so this is the perfect 1st hard cover book for him to learn about his new favorite thing.
