Q: Is this a low abrasion toothpaste?
A: Thank you for reaching out about Native Toothpastes! Native stands by the quality and safety of our products. As part of the product development process, RDA values are measured to ensure they are okay for use in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines (specifically that RDA is below 250). We generally do not disclose specific RDA values as RDA values below 250 should not be used to rank the safety of toothpastes as these values do not necessarily correspond to potential clinical changes to the enamel. I can assure you that our toothpaste RDA is below 250 and is enamel-safe! We have formulated our toothpaste with a specific level of abrasiveness in mind so as to not damage the enamel and also to provide a healthy amount of whitening power. Per the American Dental Association, "All dentifrices at or below 2.5 times the reference value, or 250 RDA, are considered safe and effective." You can learn more about RDA on their website. Feel free to reach back out to us anytime and have a great day!
