Native Body Lotion Pump - Sea Salt & Cedar - 16.5 fl oz

I received a bottle to test and review a year ago.... this is they only kind I've purchased since. I didn't think the name of the scent was appealing but it actually smells very good, light fresh clean scent. Fewer ingredients then most lotions and each ingredient is listed with what each does for you. The texture is a thick cream, but not extremely thick, not oily or greasy. I use lotion all day, I have a sensory issue any time my hands or feet get wet and I've tried more lotions than I can count. This is the best, especially for the price

I have been slowly changing over to cleaner beauty/health products. This is 10/10 in every way. The scent works for both my husband and I.

I thought this brand would be safe for sensitive skin so I bought this to keep on my desk at work for after washing my hands. This lotion is the only change I've made in my skincare routine and it's making my hands break out in an itchy, bumpy rash. Will not be using this brand in the future.

This lotion is absolutely beautiful. It opens with a salty note (think seawater, sea kelp, a mermaid fantasy) but is sweetened up with woodsy cedar. Yes, there is a sweetness, but not in the sugary or gourmand sense; the "sweetness" here is a the kind of sweetness that fresh wood has, think the kind of coconut - like sweetness in the sandalwood of Le Labo's "Santal 33." The scent is amazing and very abstract. I wish there were a matching perfume.

While the smell is nice, the lotion is too thick. It is more of a heavy body cream. The thickness makes it difficult to spread/absorb if you are using it as a body lotion. The worst part is that it is so thick it is difficult to get out of the pump. After you use the initial pumps, the liquid is so firm it does not reposition to be under the pump, so the liquid won’t come out even if there is plenty more lotion left. I had to shake really hard to try to get the lotion to settle under the pump. Totally not worth the effort.

Was honestly shocked at the marvelously rich, thick feel of this (most likely due to the inclusion of both shea butter and cornstarch -- which I don't think I've ever seen in body lotion, but if that's what's giving my skin a nice clean velvety powdery feel instead of a a slick or sticky feel, I'm all for it!). However ... in this scent, it's absolutely unusable for me. Even after putting on a long-sleeve tee and perfume, I had to go rinse my arms off, and I still REEK. I'm not getting anything I'd describe as "sea salt," and definitely no cedar (I own three different types of cedar EO, cedar chips and slabs for closets, cedar incense, cedar cologne, even cedar bug repellent...I know what cedar is supposed to smell like). Instead, you know that pink powdered soap they have in the most terrifying gas station bathroom you've ever entered? With that weirdly sweet-yet-not-sugary cloying AGGRESSIVE chemical note that climbs up your nostrils and roosts in your sinuses for the next three hours, scraping around and reminding you of The Horror? Yeah. :( I'm going to try mixing in some essential oil (maybe black pepper? *actual* cedar?) to take the edge off, otherwise this is going to find a new home at someone else's house, or else in the trash, because ick ew noooooooope.

The lotion itself is moisturizing, but the scent is very strong and smells like cologne. Beware if you don’t want to smell like your dad!

I have used their deodorant and body soap for a couple of years, it's one of the brands I trust and we go back over and over. The lotion is very moisturizing, itabsorbs into the skin very well, I love that my skins absorbs it almost instantly and doesn't leave sticky feeling or oily residue. The scent is soft and not overpowering; it smells nice and fresh. I'm very sensitive to fragrances, but this one doesn't give me a headache. Package is minimal, good price for the amount of product. I’ll try other scent from this line.
