Q: What is the ingredient that makes it clump?
submitted by Ishidee - 8 months ago

Get delivered and the FEDEX drivers leave the bags of litter at the bottom of my stairs! I am 66 yrs old, I have asked for them to bring it upstairs, nada
It's fine. Not grand. Just fine.

Well... it does have some good odor control, and my cats easily adapted to it. I want to go through the whole bagw before ultimately deciding whether to buy more. However, it is quite dusty and tracks easily. I have read others do not have this issue, so it might be certain bags or batches have the issue. If I had to choose, I would use this over unscented light weight cat litter. I'm on the fence about switching to this 100% from regular clay litter. So far, it has only earned 4 stars from me. Maybe the other variety of this brand is better. It's worth a try once to see if it works for your pets as each situation and needs are different. As such, I do recommend giving it a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised that this litter actually works. This is one of the best litters I ever tried. The litter almost always blocked out nasty orders and the clumping worked well. To keep even a longer lasting clean litter box theres 4 steps . 1. Fill a clean litter box with three inches of Naturally Fresh. 2. Remove clumps and solid waste at least once a day. 3. Add more litter as needed to stay at the ideal level of three inches. 4. To keep things fresh and healthy for your cat kid, clean and sanitize your litter box every 30 days.
IMPRESSED! Great smell control and clumping!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially skeptical by a litter that says it is "naturally fresh quick clumping," so I decided to put it into our backup litterbox upstairs. And then I promptly forgot to clean that litterbox for a few weeks... (we barely go up there and the cats primarily use the downstairs box). Then I was dreading to do the litter, knowing how long it has passed and how bad it must have gotten up there. But I was pleasantly surprised, and quite impressed! I went upstairs, wandering if I would need a mask, and...nothing smelled! And it wasn't for the lack of use of the litter. There was plenty to clean up, but it didn't get dusty as some litter does, it didn't track on the floor!, and everything stayed clumped. This is definitely going to be a mainstay in our house, as it is so much better than the typical brands I have tried in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats have no problems with this litter and it seems to not escape the box even though it is fine litter. It is very easy to scoop and keeps the smell down. It also smells good and clumps very well which I did not expect. This is an exceptionally good litter, I recommend it.
Best litter hands down!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve tried them all! Every litter under the sun and none compare to the lack of scent this leaves in our garage, ease of clean up, and duration of liter between changes. I mean who would have thought crushed walnuts! We tell everyone who has a cat about this litter!
SO Fresh So clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats love this naturally fresh quick clumping litter. They are very picky about what they are willing to use so I have been very excited to see they are using this litter. It clumps very nicely and is super easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Interesting consistency. I prefer the pebbly consistency. As far as odor control goes, after just a couple of days of use the litter box stinks. I have had other brands that blocked odor for up to ten days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having my allergies act up constantly after scooping dusty clumping litter, I decided to give this a try. It's made of walnut shells but has a woody-type of smell. It's not powdery, or dusty like traditional clumping litters, and clumps nicely. Best of all, our old cat has accepted it and we all know the cat determines which litter they'll accept, not us lol
No dust! No odor! Happy cat mama

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been struggling to find a cat litter that my cat will not only use, but is allergen friendly to me because I find myself not only already allergic to my fur baby but also the dust that some litter leaves behind. This is the first time I’ve come across a cat litter that leaves behind no dust and actually does what it promises to do, which is clump quickly with no odors! I also love that it’s all natural and made of walnut shells so I feel good letting my cat be around it everyday. Absolutely love this and highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This litter from Naturally Fresh is without a doubt the best cat litter I've found. We've tried a lot of litters over the years because my cat has had some weird litter box behaviors (tried the crystal litter once - my cat eats it). This stuff was a quick transition for her, no refusal to use the litter box when we first switched over, and she seemed to prefer the box with this litter when I had two boxes out, one with this and one with traditional clay clumping litter. The best part about it though is how well it works. And IT WORKS. It neutralizes odors so much better than any other litter we've ever used, and for my cat it completely eliminates any kind of ammonia smell from urine. The clumps are strong and don't fall apart, and it doesn't seem to track as far outside of the litter box as traditional litter. I also love that there are no toxins or fragrances, and that the company is able to use a food byproduct in a useful way. I'm a convert, will definitely keep using Naturally Fresh!
I like the idea of a more natural litter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of a more natural litter, like this because I hate the clay litters but sadly my cats are being turds and refuses to except a full change to this litter, it clumps pretty good the few times one of my cats used it but the tracking is horrible. I need something that doesn’t track like this one does. Also one of my male cats thinks it a play area, not fun to deal with. I had higher hopes for this litter but because my cats refuse to use it all the time and it tracks badly I can’t use it. Other people may have better luck with it if their cats are messy like mine and are picky about their litter. It’s made with good quality ingredients I have give it 3 stars because my cats didn’t like it and I feel it tracks to much for my household, but it worked pretty decently. I wouldn’t recommend this only because it tracked more than I liked because my boys are messy cats and the people I know wouldn’t want a litter that tracks like this is for me, but if your cat isn’t messy than it may be a good option if your looking for something more natural.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had no idea ground up walnuts and such could create litter. And I was skeptical that it could clump and absorb the stink like the mainstream stuff, but I was wrong. My cat has been using this for a few weeks now and it's less gross to deal with, and it takes care of her business better than the other stuff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m the type of person to give just about everything a try, so I decided to try the walnut shell cat little. To my surprise, it actually worked really well. It has a sandy texture so you almost can’t even tell that it’s not normal cat litter. The litter is also very absorbent and does a pretty decent job of clumping as long as there’s a good amount of litter in the box. As far as odors, this would probably be the first litter that does a great job with masking any sort of ammonia smell. And with that, it’s a winner. Another bonus is that it doesn’t have the same dust issue as normal cat litter and as someone with allergies, it’s definitely helpful. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks like coffee grounds, it has an earthy smell to it. It was kind of crazy how well it worked. The odors do take some time to absorb. But they do absorb. It was easy to clean out. It absorbed everything really well. My cat didn't have a reaction to it either. I've used other brands and types and he has like asthma coughing from it. I am really impressed with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried out this Naturally Fresh Quick Clumping litter for my cat. She actually really liked this brand more. I feel it lasted way longer with this bag as it soaks up so much more than other brands I buy. I also love that thus us a more natural product. I try to live healthy free and this is an added bonus around my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this litter has some good things and some bad things about it. It’s a better choice then regular cat litter. I noticed it didn’t get everywhere like the other litter. And it blocks the odor that comes from cat feces. The only thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t really soak up and clump the cat urine. It kind of just puddles at the bottom of the box.
Does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has a cat. The only way I agreed to it was if she did all the cleaning up and taking care of her. The litter is descent. The cat uses it all the time and doesn’t seem to have issues. Taking care of the cat is a huge obligation so having the correct and easy to use products to keep up is equally important
