Q: how long does it take to start feeling the effect of this product. Ed F

submitted by Ed - 7 years ago
  • A: I noticed a difference in one week.

submitted byMegan - 4 years ago
  • A: It took about one week for me to feel more energy

submitted byGma - 2 years ago
  • A: For myself, it took quite awhile to feel/notice any physical difference. I would say 2 months or so, give or take a week. However everyone is different. I myself have always been anemic and never treated it until my first pregnancey. If you have a very low red blood cell count it will take a while to build up your iron stores. I hope this helps even though it's not an exact time line seeing as everyone is different.

  • A: Iron supplementation higher than 45 mg/day to treat Iron deficiency may cause certain gastrointestinal effects, but taking your Iron supplement with a meal instead of on an empty stomach will help relieve any effects.

Q: I am female and google says we are supposed to take 18mg of iron a day. So is 65mg a day healthy?

submitted by eden - 4 years ago
  • A: Also know that iron is not water soluble, so if you take too much too frequently, you may see other health issues from too much iron- see hemachromatosis. So talk to your doctor about taking these

submitted bytoo much iron is not good - 1 year ago
  • A: Nature Made Iron 65 mg (from Ferrous Sulfate) Tablets are intended for adults with an iron deficiency. We recommend speaking with your personal healthcare provider to discuss the products and dosages that are appropriate for your needs.

Q: My doctor recommended a smaller dose of iron per day. I have a pill cutter, is it safe to cut the tablet and take 1/4 or 1/2 the tablet per day to match my doctor’s recommend amount?

submitted by Reviewsbyme - 5 months ago
  • A: Thanks for reaching out. It is NOT recommended to cut tablets as it may create a rough edge and make it difficult to swallow. Additionally, cutting the tablet may not ensure you get the exact dosage your doctor prescribed. If you have any further questions, we suggest checking with your personal healthcare professional.
