Used this food for a long time after recommended by vet since my dog is allergic to chicken and the salmon bag for the longest did not have chicken. I just found out after reading reviews that they now reformulated using chicken. No wonder why my dog has been getting sick.

Our dog was very sick. The vet said he has a chicken allegry and stop all food with chicken in it. My husband paid top dollar for Natures Recipe at a small pet store. Label says "no chicken by-products". When he brought it home I looked at the ingredients and the SECOND ingredient is CHICKEN MEAL, then later CHICKEN FAT. I'm sure it's good food, but deceiving
My dog loves every flavor!

I buy this brand in both wet and dry versions for my dog. It’s easy to digest and she likes all the flavors! The price has gone up in the last few years but I still choose it over other brands.

People normally buy salmon recipe dog food because their dogs have allergies to CHICKEN. and yet the new formula puts chicken meal as its 2nd ingredient. Why would you do this???
We've been buying this food for over a year due to our dogs allergies. This one the only one we could find that didn't include flaxseed, which our dog is also allergic to. We've been so happy with the food until now.
PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK

My dogs have enjoyed this food up until I got a bigger bag of the same type of kibble, and it’s appearance is different. The darker ones are from the small bag and the bigger ones are from the small bag

Should have read the reviews before purchasing - I started mixing this food in with my dogs’ current food to begin switching over slowly, and immediately they started having bowel issues. Terrible smell, behavior changes, signs of discomfort. Very happy with the great customer service and quick refund from Target, but will definitely never be purchasing from this brand again.

My poor dog had a bad allergic reaction to this food. He broke out in hives and his eye swelled up. I had to give him Benadryl and quickly switched back to his regular food.

Formula has changed. Strange smell, dark color, and throughout the bag there are Sharp, hard white objects in the kibble pieces. Unclear how to get a refund without mailing the kibble back? In any case, DO NOT PURCHASE!

I’ve been feeding this to my dog for years, but like others have mentioned, there is a change to the recipe and it’s AWFUL. It looks and smells disgusting and unappealing. I returned the bag for a full refund.

I complained twice about the chicken, sweet potato and pumpkin Nature's Recipe, mainly due to the horrible smell. You sent me a coupon, so I decided to try this formula to see if it was better. Nope, NO better. I don't know what you've done to the food in the last year or so, but it smells horrible. My dog no longer eats it like she used to. Now, I'm going to have to go through another entire process of trying to find a food she will eat. She has always been extremely picky, and I was so happy when we first started using Nature's Recipe. But over the last year or so, it has changed for the worse. She will eat it but it takes her several days to get through a small amount. Instead of just finding the problem and fixing the food, you went to the trouble and expense of giving away free food in exchange for reviews. Sad. I will no longer be giving my dog this food or any other made by your company.
