Q: Can this be brewed like coffee?
submitted by mxwp - 2 months ago
A: Yes! We recommend using a coffee grinder to grind the nibs into a finer consistency -just like coffee grounds- and then brewing them normally. This methods works best in a French press or pour-over. (Note that using cacao nibs in a regular drip coffee maker may cause it to clog, due to the high fat content of the cacao bean.) Enjoy!

Q: do these easily melt
submitted by Linda - 2 years ago
A: No, the Cacao Nibs do not melt. They're roughly crushed whole cacao beans, so you can think of them like a chopped nut or seed. They add texture and flavor to smoothies, oatmeal, baked goods & more!

Q: What is the difference between ground cacao and cacao nibs?
submitted by Karen - 3 years ago
A: Cacao powder is made by grinding cacao beans into a paste and then pressing out the fats, resulting in a shelf stable cacao or cocoa powder. Cacao nibs are made by lightly crushing the whole bean.
