Q: What's the % of retinol in this cream? 0.5%? 1%?
A: Since they won’t tell you, probably better to go with something that will. I read the ingredients and it’s pretty low on the label, so probably not very much.
submitted byKiki - 6 months agoA: Thanks for your question! The percentage of retinol is actually considered proprietary information and isn’t available. We hope you understand.

Q: I have some acne on cheeks, Sun damage and rosecea. Will this product be OK to use ?
A: Hello! Thank you for choosing our product. In response to your question, our Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Face Moisturizer Cream may assist with sun damage; however, it could be too strong for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin. We strongly recommend consulting your dermatologist before using it. For more information about our products, please visit https://www.neutrogena.com.

Q: Does this product work for very sensitive skin type? My skin tend to have rashes and get itchy with some products.
A: I had the same problems with my skin. I had skin allergy tests and found out I’m allergic to many ingredients in skin care products and makeup. If you can’t get testing done I’d recommend always avoiding anything with fragrance listed in the ingredients. Even things like soap and hand cream- I would use it only on my hands but then touch my face later and have a reaction.
submitted byMerlinator - 11 months agoA: Thanks so much for reaching out! Retinol is a powerful product with awesome restorative properties, but it may not be right for everyone. As with any new product, we always recommend using a fingertip worth of product in a small part of your face to spot test any potential reactions your skin my have to a new part of your skincare!

Q: I purchased this Face Cream & the Hydro Boost Hydrating Water Gel Face Moisturizer w/ Hyaluronic Acid. Can I use both these items together? If so, which one should I use first? How long should I wait between the two?
A: Hi there, thanks for the question! You can definitely use these together. We'd recommend using the Retinol Face Cream and then the moisturizer. :)
submitted byJohnson & Johnson - 4 years agoBrand expertA: On March 22nd, 2020, someone else posted this exact same question. On March 23rd, 2020, the Johnson & Johnson "Brand Expert" posted a different answer. To be clear, Neutrogena considers Both of these products *moisturizers*. However, anything containing Retinol is usually considered a "treatment" and therefore, the stand-alone moisturizer (In this case, the "Hydro Boost") should be used After the Retinol product, as the very Last product applied. Hope this is helpful. :-)

Q: Can you use hydro boost water gel facial moisturizer with this anti-wrinkle cream? If so, which one would you apply first?
A: We recommend applying the Hydro Boost Water Gel then the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Face Cream. Let us know if you have any other questions!
submitted byJohnson & Johnson - 5 years agoBrand expertA: On June 25th 2021, this same question was posted. The Johnson & Johnson "Brand Expert" who replied answered the question exactly the Opposite! (I would love to post the screen shots here - but this comment section won't allow) Do the retinol anti-wrinkle cream 1st, moisturizer 2nd - in any & all circumstances. The so-called "brand expert" who answered this is either a bot or asleep at the wheel!!! ( And yes, I will be sure to report it, as well! )
