Summary of reviews
The product is a dual-zone beverage fridge that has received mixed reviews. While it initially impresses with its sleek design, dual temperature controls, and capacity to hold a variety of beverages, there is a recurring issue with the unit's longevity. Many guests have experienced problems with the cooling system, particularly with temperature sensors and compressors, often just after the warranty period ends. Despite this, some guests have had positive experiences with customer service when addressing these issues.

As other reviewers have stated, it started within a year of freezing up on one side, making sodas explode in the freezer. Since it was under warranty, they provided a part to replace, which worked for a few months, and the other side went out. Now, it isn't under warranty, and I've been offered 10% off my next purchase. I'll never purchase another NEWAIR product again.
First Unit Failed - Waiting on replacement

Beware - Purchaser is responsible for returns - and/or disposals (expensive!) if unit is flawed upon receipt. You have to let it stand for at least 24 hours, so no chance of returning it upon delivery unless there is obvious damage to the box. We received an undamaged box, waited before plugging in, waited an additional 24 for stabilization of temperature in both sides and found that one side did not cool at all. Trying to return/replace has been a nightmare due to policies shifting responsibilities to the buyer -- no real local support or service from newair is available. Their phone agents are friendly and responsive, they just can't help you due to corporate decisions. Holding our breath that the replacement works correctly

Mine lasted past the 3 year mark. We were a little luckier but then both sides stopped cooling. Left is set to 36 but real feel is 55. Right same issue. Off about 20 degrees. Buyer beware
Don't believe the 4 star review.

Decent unit when it worked but one of the windows got condensation inside it after 2 years and now in year 3 it's stopped cooling below 50f. Customer service said that its a compressor issue and that they can't provide a replacement part for it and they don't have any service techs that could look at it. So it's essentially now trash. I know nothing lasts for ever but this is very poor and seems to very common with this brand.

Seems to be a consistent problem. Both sides stopped working. Tried calling customer service but no one answers. Lot of money to only last such a short time
Very Disappointed. Should last Longer Than 19 Months.

Stopped working at about the 19 month mark. I bought the parts they said would fix it but it did not. I've been waiting over a month for a supervisor to review my request for a replacement. Not happy!

Do not buy. As other reviews stated, it seems like it is designed to fail at or near the 3 year mark. I purchased this for a kitchen remodel and I'm disappointed that it's not built to last more than a couple of years. I have a useless fridge in my kitchen.

Two years and there is condensation between the glass panels of the door. Used to be a highlight of the wet bar and is now embarrassing to look at. Very disappointed.

Worked fine and like everyone else it died in 3 years. Don't bother calling the manufacturer they are useless. It's a Chinese piece of jump with electronics that are designed to fail on purpose. Called the manufacturer and they basically told me it's not fixable and I need a new compressor that cost as much as a new unit. JUNK DO NOT BUY ONE.

we were very lucky --ours worked great until 4.5yr mark--after buying sensors because they thought that might be the problem we see the unit is just nonfunctional --newair offered us 40% off if we got another one which we did.
Dual Fridge Not Cooling

Very disappointed in this fridge. Last year it stopped cooling, we looked at Newair website and recommendations for how to troubleshoot. We followed all these directions, coils a clean, there are no leaks, wires and connections all look good. We had the compressor start relay replaced and the fridge started working again. However, now the fridge won't cool again. Replaced the compressor start relay and still not working. The fridge is positioned under the counter, so my husband thought maybe an issue with air flow and has opened the wall behind the fridge, with venting. Still the fridge is not working/cooling. There is no leaks, nothing! We have unplugged it and will be used just to hold drinks I guess at this point but they won't be cold. This is extremely disappointing and its too expensive to replace it. How can an appliance like this fail!!!

Purchased on 3/2/2021 and it just quit. It runs, but no longer cools on either side. Pulled unit out and it was clean as a whistle. Fan working, no dust build up, plenty of ventilation, no power surges, it just quit cooling. Very disappointing after paying over $800.00 (before gov't taxes) for the unit. Was impressed with the capacity and performance till it quit. Very disappointed in such an expensive unit.

Something this expensive should last more than 2 years!

At the time of purchase, the only poor reviews I found were comments about noise. There were no reviews indicating repeated failures of the temperature sensors. Now that mine has quit cooling on both sides, I've taken a look at the most recent reviews. All of them seem to occur pretty much in the same time frame as my issue...after 2-3 years of ownership. I share the same opinion as another reviewer. This unit should be recalled. At minimum consumers should be provided free repairs for a recurring issue such as this. I also agree with another reviewer about a BBB claim. This is ridiculous!

Unfortunately, I have become a member of the community. Unit failed to cool after 2.5 years. Worked great prior to noticing the beverages and wine were no longer being kept cold. Tried unplugging etc to no avail.

Guess I'm lucky. 3.5 years seems better than the average sad lifespan reported here. Now will not cool to below 57 degrees. Ordered another one. If this one dies in a similar timeframe, I am done with the brand. It was a lovely little fridge while it lasted.

My unit purchased on 7/18/2021 stopped cooling. Talked to help desk for troubleshooting suggested that it's likely a failed compressor after trouble shooting the following ; 1. Compressor switch - clicking sound after unplugging n plugging it back 2. Temperature sensors - clicking sound when temp is change Therefore, unit is not repairable. This is really not acceptable for units to last just a little over 2 years or less and with many experienced the same. This model should be taken out from the market.
