Nexcare Tegaderm with Pad - 5ct

I purchased this product after a shoulder replacement surgery and it worked wonderfully it stayed on just like it said it would I just wrapped my shoulder in cling wrap to loosely keep it from getting wet when I showered as an RN of 35+ years I worked in the OR also has been long since loved by nurses because we would put them over IV sites back in the day and stay put so is a good brand I just didn’t realize they had made them with gauze on the inside and that was all I needed to know . For serious wound care, this (3M) is the company you need to stick with. I don’t think generics could even EVER possibly come close to copying it . And it’s worth every dime.

I used three (3) of the dressings to ensure that the stitches did not get wet to no avail. By the time I was done, the wound was wet.

This is an absolutely amazing product that does come in different sizes. It can be put right over a wound that has a bulky dressing. I’ve also seen nurses and doctors cut one in 1/2 if the coverage is just quite not large enough. This specialized material used to do so keeps wound dry and free of any debris in which can carry bacteria. Best part there is absolutely to pain at removal time. No more nasty painful tape! I’ve been seeing this used more and more by medical professionals it’s just incredible. After an operation don’t be surprised to awake and see what looks like plastic wrap on you. At the pharmacy it’s slightly expensive but honestly it is worth every penny Susan D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great adhesive hold, keeps water out when showering. The nexcare tegaderm band aid is excellent for keeping water, dirt, and bacteria out.

We have used Tegaderm extensively but have come upon two rolls that seem to be impossible to remove the original backer in order to apply the product. Tegaderm needs to come up with readily available suggestions to remedy this issue.

I have been buying this on a regular basis..more like once a week!! I am a dialysis patient, and have a catheter in my chest. I cannot afford to get it wet, and risk infection. I started using these, and it prevents it from getting wet, and most importantly helps keep out the germs. A few of the other patients has started using this as well, and it's so much easier on the dialysis technicians, and they love it instead of using bulky gauze and medical tape. I wish they ALL can afford this!! Thank you!!

I am always leery of any product that states it is waterproof, but I gave it a try anyways knowing that 3M typically makes a good product. I am on/in the water living in Florida. This product stayed on for 3 days in the saltwater and sweat. I was 100% happy. It was worth paying a little more for the product because it truly out preforms any thing else.

After having an infected hickman catheter removed from my chest this product gave me the confidence to take regular showers again. Thank you Nexcare!

I was bitten by a brown recluse recently and needed something to protect the wound from infection and to cushion any painful blows to the area. This product helped keep the bite clean, medicated, and cushioned until it healed. So happy with the product.

What is the plastic part made of? I need to know because I had an allergic reaction.

I use pain patches and use this product to make sure that the pain patch stays on and doesn't get wet.

I have had toe surgeries on both feet and I have sensitive skin, so the first questionsI asked my podiatrist was "Do you use Nexcare waterproof transpararent bandages and dressings?" He did, but If he didn't I was willing to purchase them for him so he could use them on me!

I can't stop so I have to patch up and go onto the next task. Tegaderm are the best bandages I have found on the market, and trust me I've tried a lot! The patch stays on until I'm ready to remove and with constantly washing my hands to change tasks, the bandage never comes off by itself!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a plumber I get a lot of cuts and my hands are in water a lot this waterproof dressing kept the water away from the cut and did not stick to the cut,,this is the best dressing I ever used .

i had a cut on my elbow that was proving hard to heal because of location and repetitive movement of elbow and bumping the wound. This allowed me to cover it and keep antibiotic cream on it and watch the wound for signs of healing and was able to save on Dressing because i was able to keep a eye on the wound to change dressing when it looked like it needed changing. I recommend this product for those difficult wounds for difficult areas of the body.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently I developed pressure ulcers on my back, when I asked my doctor if I could take a regular bath he stated only if I could keep the wound completely sealed. I tried 2 other name brands prior that did not stay on without the seal breaking & getting my ulcer wet. One of the home nurses I had suggested I try Nexcare Tegaderm +Waterproof Transparent Dressing. I figured sure why not but did not have high hopes at all. I have never been more happy to be wrong. Not only did the Tegaderm stay sealed, no water penetrated to the wound but the dressing inside did not stick to the ulcer when I removed it. Without this product I would have been left no choice but to sponge bathe. I continued to use it everyday for the next several months until my ulcers completely healed, not just for bathing but it quickly became the only dressing I used to keep my wound clean & dry which helped speed up the wound healing. I am a 110% satisfied customer that when given a choice will now only choose Nexcare. I highly recommend that if you need a long lasting waterproof dressing that Nexcare be your 1st choice.
