2020 release. Nle Choppa announces the release of Top Shotta. Choppa set the stage for the album with "Narrow Road" featuring Lil Baby. As a whole, the project affirms his place among the biggest breakout rappers of 2020. Over the piano-laden album opener "Daydream," Choppa croons aspirational melodies before ripping through the beat with a fiery delivery. Elsewhere, a deadly flow circles around "Murda Talk" as he paints a vivid picture with each bar. Everything culminates on "Depression." A showcase for his impressive vocal range, the personal track cuts deep as he spells out the title and openly admits, "Just wanna please everybody, I'm not perfect." It serves as a rare moment of vulnerability and bravery.
