The filings, made by the Environmental Research Center (ERC), a San Diego-based consumer protection non-profit, states that its testing found PFOA, a dangerous PFAS compound, and lead in eight flavors of No Cow bars.

The protein bar smelled of dog treats and the taste mimics the smell. The bar also had a very chalky consistency, and if I could describe the texture, I would say it is very similar to all-purpose flour. I do NOT recommend it.

Where else can you get 20 grams of protein with only 5 grams of fat?! No Cow bars taste good, in my opinion, although they are a little grainy like all plant-based protein bars. This flavor tastes the most like its name of all the flavors I've tried.

I like that you can really taste the peanut butter but I prefer the dipped bars on the whole. Last month, No Cow was out of the dipped bars I usually order, and since I like nut butters, I decided to try these. They taste good enough and are getting eaten but I'll swap them out for something else next time.

As a meal or snack, it has what some people believe is not obtainable on a vegan diet. As a peanut butter lover, I naturally picked this one and the added chocolate chippy taste hit the spot !
