Sorry for the poor quality photo, it was taken in the dark. The blanket does glow! It does have to be in the light for a while to “charge” the star and moon patterns before being in the dark. Make sure it gets light for a little while and that every part of it gets light, otherwise some stars won’t glow. It is very soft, and also lightweight so good in the summer. Did have little fuzzies on it, didn’t bother me though. Good size for me considering I’m short. Not sure how this does in the wash and definitely a little pricey, but I love it

My kids simply loved these. They have had trouble sleeping in their own rooms but since they received their birthday gifts they have not come to my room once. Highly recommended if you have similar issues.
