Summary of reviews
The carry on pro is a well-constructed travel companion that offers high-quality materials and thoughtful design features. Guests appreciate its durability and the convenience of the tech compartment for easy access to electronics. However, many find the overall capacity limited, especially for longer trips. While it excels in organization and smooth rolling, potential buyers should consider their packing needs carefully before purchasing.

Not worth the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The front pocket is flimsy and sometimes hard to close. This is definitely a 2 day pack out if you decide to take your laptop with you. If you don’t take a laptop then you can pack 3 days of clothes(summer clothes). The handle is loose and is wobbly. I honestly wish I did more research ahead of time than just going off of what is on their website. Be picky with your purchase especially when it has this type of price tag on it.
Overall, great purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros - durable and consistent high quality as all other nomatic products. I have two laptops I have to carry around and it fits in the laptop bag into the laptop slot. The only thing is sometimes it can be just a bit of an extra second to get the laptop bag out of the laptop slot. Otherwise, everything else is true to what is advertised. Great quality and durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought what I believe to be NOMATIC's first backpack when they were an early startup and have used it countless times on multi-day trips (2-4 days typically) and it's held up perfectly. I took the dive on this new carry on after needing a new one. What I discovered is if you're a professional who needs business attire (suit, 2 dress shirts, dress shoes) and also casual wear (1 pair of jeans, 2 shirts, and dual use shoes for going out AND working out) plus gym clothes (2 shorts and 2 shirts) plus socks, underwear, etc and a hygiene bag, you're going to be hard pressed to fit everything. The laptop bag does not fit in the tech compartment as conveniently as you would think. Cables and chargers and miscellaneous things you put in the tech compartment push up against the bag so that doesn't work, so you wind up mounting the bag on the handle anyway and then the tech compartment kinda becomes useless. You can't fit a hygiene bag in it which was my first attempt to resolve this. I hope to swap this out for the full size carry on without the tech compartment sacrificing what appears to be a significant amount of space since it blocks off what I guess to be about half of one side of the carry on. It is STILL an incredibly impressive piece of equipment and everything is built way better than any of the big names like Samsonite but the price point may bring a lot of what you're paying for into question here with the capacity issue of this one in particular.

I work as a consultant, so I am on the road for lots of 3-5 day trips. This bag is so good. I love having to take one bag through the airport. When I get on the plane I pull the tech case out, and still have plenty of foot room under the seat in front of me. Bag rolls so smooth. I have only taken on a handful of trips, so can't speak a lot towards longevity, but I honestly don't have concerns on that front. Great Job Nomatic.
Way smaller than advertised.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is way too small and for the price that is charged the tech front is not worth it at all!
Returned it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned it because the laptop section did not close. Nomatic still made me pay for the shipping. Also, the angled area on the case is a waste of valuable space. I went with the Monos carry-on which I recommend.

The Pro gets the job done. Avid traveler, and with a toddler, so shorter trips have been most of our travel. Easily get what I need in for a few days, plus easy access to get in/out any back up items for him. As we combo check one bag so we can keep all his necessities with us on the plane, this really has enough space with the front hatch to accommodate anything for quick access. Wheels are great, and holds steady when attaching a bag to the arm.
Love the tech case!

Great bag for a long weekend even if not flying. The Hinomoto wheels are the absolute best rolling luggage wheels I’ve ever used on a bag. Cool design. I don’t see how my laptop could be more protected in this bag inside the tech case. Highly recommend if you travel often with a lot of computer tech gear.

Not Practical for Real Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long-time Nomatic user, I have owned over a dozen products and love them. But I am sad to say that this is one of the very few products that I regret buying. The fatal flaw of this suitcase is that it is just “too small.” Many luggage companies offer suitcases that are about 20% larger than the standard if you mainly travel within North America, which Nomatic does not currently offer. The tech compartment appears convenient, but it’s really not. The compartment greatly reduced the usable space in the suitcase’s main compartment to the point where you could barely fit anything. The small space makes the suitcase borderline unusable. Whenever I go on a trip, I’d always instinctively pick a different suitcase, so I rarely end up using it. On top of that, the tech case fits quite snugly in the tech compartment, making it hard to slide it in and out at times if you put more things in it besides a laptop. And it struggles to fit a 16” laptop in there. If I went back in time, I’d probably opt for the carry-on classic for more usable space or look for some other brand that offers a larger size carry-on. Unfortunately, I didn’t use it to travel immediately upon receiving this suitcase. It was only after the return dates had passed that I realized its impractical design. Now it’s just sitting in the corner of the house collecting dust.
Larger than a true carry on

Covered in filth upon opening, tried to reach out with no further responses besides "well are you sure?" after sending videos and photos. Not worth the risk. The roller itself works, but note that it is larger than a standard carry on size.
Impeccable. Would love to learn how to use it better.

This Carry-On is by far the best I've had. Yet it is clear that I still need to learn more about how to use it better. Buying a Nomatic is like buying a new smartphone: it is so advanced and it has so many features, you probably won't use half of them before you change it again... UNLESS you get proper TRAINING. ** I wish Nomatic could offer just that: Training for us users that want to really extract the whole value of the gear we bought.

While the bag itself is nice, it lacked the space required for my amount of travel. I have returned the bag and I am awaiting the shipment of my 37L.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carry-on is pretty much ideal. With the tech pocket and included case it's a good fit for flying. While a unit without the built-in case would have more internal space, these features are extremely convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing is perfect but it is not really as close as I thought it would be. It's cumbersome with minimal packing space. They really meant 1-2 days. The tech compartment is not as flexible as I would like. overall good but not great. 3.5 of 5.
I think the carry-on pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the carry-on pro is a great concept but fails in meeting my expectations. It is expensive yet feels flimsy. It has very little space due to the compartment for the laptop and therefore it not useful. I recognize that it does state that the space is limited but it is "really limited" specially if you pack a pair of shoes as they show on the ads. I will stick with my Tumi carry-on. Same price - more flexible.
